Harry's Polanco | Steakhouse & Raw Bar — Restaurant in Mexico City

I was overall disappointed by my birthday dinner at Harry's. I went here for a birthday dinner solo. Service was amazing with attentive staff, inside is nice, but to me the food was not up to the standards of a good "steakhouse". Shrimp appetizer was fine. However when it came to my NY Strip it was not cooked medium well done like I requested. I specifically had made sure to be clear with the person taking my order and pointed to on the menu how I would like it cooked as they had it listed the different levels for this. When it arrived it looked delicious, but upon cutting into it I realized it was more pink than "well". It's so dark in this restaurant setting I had to use my phone light to see it. They were apologetic and offered to take it back to be cooked more which I allowed. They brought it back and it was still pink so at this point I didn't even want it. They did everything to rectify this issue and even offering me an extra dessert at the end. However, the whole meal was disappointing included the fries and I'm not sure how that is even possible. We decided to celebrate my birthday with my wife in this restaurant because of there good reviews in there website but unfortunately we had a very bad experience no only with the food but also with the very POOR management in the restaurant. The food was cold and we send it all back twice. By the third time the experience we were planning to have was al ready gone. You expect to enjoy your self when you visit any 4 or 5 start restaurant not on for there food but also for the dining experience, unfortunately we didn’t get any of that. My wife steak was super salty after they brought the food the" 3rd "time and I asked the manager to try it because I didn’t want them to think that I was making trouble When you’re paying primium price you r expecting good food and great service. Good Drinks: Their drink menu is solid. Food Hits: We enjoyed the cauliflower, shrimp, and mini burgers. The tomato soup with grilled cheese sandwich was also a comforting treat.

The Things to Note: Sweet Tooth Alert: The desserts (like the lemon pie and Harry's pie we tried) are quite sweet. If you have a major sweet tooth, you'll be happy! Price Tag: As expected for a place like this, it's a little on the expensive side.
