The patio is an excellent ambiance, with the relaxing sight and sound of green, flowers, and running water from fountains.

It creates a nice escape from the bustling city of Mexico City.

The hostess is very kind, providing water for my four-legged son, the Frenchie Jean-Luc. The terrace is pet-friendly, which is typically a dining must for me in Mexico City.

I ordered the “Huevos a piacere” with a cafe Americano, which is my usual vice.

After offering all kinds of sides which is the norm here, such as sweet bread, fruit, etc., I declined all, as I’m trying to trim down a bit.

Nonetheless, they brought a bowl of fruit, which I clarified that I did not order, but they said it was on the house.

The food was a little plain, refried black beans, scrambled eggs and Italian sausage which I could have easily made at home, but the ambiance, experience, and service is what you pay for.

Chilaquiles is part of my weekly routine, and I always look for with protein of rib-eye, suadero de rib-eye, or as a last resort, arrachera (cecina is too dry and salty for my taste), but alas they do not have beef as a protein option.

The wait staff, including the manager was very kind. The manager even jokingly suggested that I put all work aside to enjoy my meal.

Overall, a very nice experience, but could use more variety in the breakfast menu. I was told they just started breakfast just last Wednesday, so it’s a good start. Bravo, particularly on the...

Isola Polanco has got to be one of my favorite dining experiences in my life. This was a major mansion that was turned into two separate restaurants ; a Thai restaurant and this one Isola. We sat on the upper terrace area overlooking the vine strewn streets . Our server Maria was phenomenal as she suggested a wolf variety of wines and incredible starters : we chose the Sanginovese and the calamari fritti. When it arrived there were two separate sauces as well : a vodka sauce and a chipotle sauce and lemon. For our main course we ordered the salmon which was paired with the most incredibly marinated fennel and the Risotto Fungi which was decadent and plentiful in size. The tastes of both dishes were a perfect complement to each other. This is a place that we will definitely be back to : sitting at the interior bar could be a great thing to do next time as their interior spaces are each so well decorated and had the best DJ throbbing music into the night. Thank you for an outstanding experience your customer service is incredible and your food so very well constructed....

Dinner started out wonderfully. Excellent patio, beautifully lit and just a really nice environment. Service was friendly and they set up a table for us quickly. Excellent calamari and asparagus.

Things started to get mediocre at the entrees. Risotto was basically inedible due to over salting, spaghetti was overcooked like water bath noodles they serve in elementary schools, with lukewarm meatballs, milanese was oily and singular in flavor. What made the experience unsalvageable was them serving one guest their salad when everyone else was served entrees. By the time the table was done with entrees, the one guest who still hasn’t gotten their entrees tried to cancel their order and the staff refused to cancel and served the entree after everyone else was done with their meals. Mistakes happen but when the restaurant refuses to correct the mistake and forces one guest to eat alone, that’s when it becomes unforgivable. To be fair, service was...
