ITZEA — Hotel in Mexico City

We were pleasantly surprised by Casa Itzae. We needed to stay in Polanco for a single night, and booked very late so the places we had in mind were booked. We also needed to be close to Parque Lincoln. We worried it'd be noisy, and also that it'd be odd to have a room with a bathroom down the hall. We were wrong. They provided us with a room that faced the street but was covered with leafy, green plants. We kept the windows open during the day and enjoyed the breeze. At night, we closed the windows to lessen the street noise which was minimal, and we turned on the overhead fan. They also had a portable A/C in the room in case we got too warm. The bathroom was down the hall, but private to our room and it was just fine, in fact, better as it felt a bit more private. The place itself felt comfortable, and we felt welcome. For the first part of our CD MX trip, we had stayed in the Gran Hotel Ciudad de MX, and at the Grand Fiesta Americana (near Chapultepec park). We worried this bed and breakfast would lack in terms of comfort, but we were wrong. I will definitely stay here again because of the great location, comfort of accommodations, and the attention...

I don't even know where to start. It's been catastrophic. Not even worth one star. Our room was very loud because of air systems on the back of the house. The door to the private room was see trough. The bathrooms are tiny. The flooring is so loud you can hear every step. The place is very well advertised but leaves out important Info. The owner lives there too, with a lot of dogs that bark a lot. We checked out because my husband got bitten by one of them. The people that work there wear safety boots because they get attacked as well. The manager even tried to tell me what's good for my kid or not totally crossing the line calling me crazy. I have never met a Guesthouse Manager that loud and intrusive. She still owes us money for one night but is just not professional enough to deal with IT. Usually I don't write bad reviews but she really asked for it not giving us the money back acting unprofessional....

Primero lo bueno. La señora del servicio fue muy muy amable, el desayuno te hace sentir en casa.

Ahora lo malo. Sinceramente no lo recomiendo. Yo hice mi reserva en tiempo y forma. Leí detenidamente cada detalle, y pagué lo que la app me indicó. Justo mientras esperaba el acceso al edificio la dueña se contacto conmigo para decirme que no le aparecía la reserva del niño y que si lo quería arreglar directamente con ellos tenía que pagar $500 extras, le envié evidencia en video de mi reserva y ni así se me respeto el precio, me dijo que tenía que solucionarlo yo con booking o pagar el dinero. Mi acceso era a las 3 y entre a las 4 porque en booking siempre están saturadas las líneas y ahora dudo que me resuelvan. Tuve que ceder a su solución ya que no tenía otro lugar donde quedarme.

Respondo a lo que el propietario me respondió. Yo hice la reservacion, fuimos 2 adultos (2 mujeres para que se fije que están confundiendo a los huéspedes) y 1 niña. Y en vez de aceptar su error inventa una narrativa que no existió. De verdad, evítense malos ratos y no se hospeden aquí, ahora sí le creo a cada mala reseña qué tiene el lugar y todo por su propietario. (no comparto las pruebas de whatsapp para...
