Kinky Bar — Restaurant in Mexico City

I was here Sat 8th Jan 2022 and had table service. The waiter charged me $90/bottle of corona. I had no reason to question it as I saw no menu. Later after I'd paid him PLUS 10% TIP, I went to the bar to buy one directly and realised he'd inflated the price. I complained to the staff and they made me stand at the bar, waiting to point him out. When I did, they said there's nothing they could do as I hadn't kept my receipt. I wouldn't let it go as splashed over all their tables is a sign saying "if staff pressure you for a tip, complain to management" - if that's so important then why not robbing customers? They finally got the owner to come out and I complained once again. The waiter agreed to return what he owed me, all the while attempting to change facts saying I'd bought seven beers, trying to recalculate it all on his phone and never making the numbers balance either way because none of it made one bit of sense. Pretty terrible way to treat customers. I left as soon as I was returned the money he effectively stole from me.

130 pesos cover just to enter. Went for a friend’s birthday last Friday night. There is karaoke on the 2nd floor, which was fun but they didn’t wait for you to get onstage so the song would start before you were up there and they wouldn’t restart it. Also they closed the list at 3:45am even though they let us put songs on there before they warned us they wouldn’t have time to do the people they had already agreed to do. The top floor has music videos synchronized to the music playing and a scantily dressed man dancing. There’s also a balcony if you want fresh air on either floor. I only went because my friends said to, but I would never go here by choice. Paying a cover (even on a Friday night) makes no sense to me and I’ve been to other places with free/cheaper dancing/karaoke. I don’t drink alcohol so I can’t say if they make good drinks or not, but from what I could see on the menu they seem to cost more than the cover charge to enter. There’s also an employee in the bathrooms so you feel obligated to give more money as a tip for her to squirt soap into your hand and hand you a...

Mexico City offers a lot of great places to experience an unique and unbelievable night life, unfortunately Kinky bar was not one of them

This overrated place, tries just to hard and fails, under the pretext of being an "exclusive night club" kinky bar misunderstanding quality with rudeness, the gate security borderlines in sexual harassment, which pretty much for me ruin the start of the evening, the shirtless bartenders are nice to see but kinda tacky and out of tone with the "concept" they tried to offer, the unnecessary restrictions along with the overpriced drinks just make this place a "thanks but no thanks" place for me... Pretty much like the new rich people...

Trust me for over judgement, disapproval and regret, I'll just go to my grandparents house, at least they don't charge me for the food... Anymore

So kinky bar, just relax and let go a little, 'cuz when you are a night club, the most important thing is to make your customers feel special and with the desire to come again, which unfortunately this time for me...
