La Cel — Restaurant in Mexico City

Café La Cel quickly became one of my favorite spots during my trip! I had the Shakshuka, Huevos y Arroz, and Sopa de Camote, and every dish was absolutely delicious—fresh, hot, and perfectly seasoned. The Matcha was incredible, and I also tried all of their fresh juices—each one was crafted to perfection, bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors.

Beyond the amazing food and drinks, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. Had breakfast here. Chilquiles divorciados and a double espresso. Music is a bit loud for a Sunday morning but the place has some charm...I had an overall positive experience until paying the bill. $205 pesos. No problem. I gave $510. $340 for change. The waiter asked if I was good or wanted change. Are you 1% serious?

This is a darling, warm cafe - lucky for us, right across the street from home. The shakshuka definitely had Mexican influences - reminded me of an entomatada. It was a huge portion and full of flavour. The breakfast sandwich was also a good portion.

Service was excellent - friendly, quick, and we enjoyed the booth with our daughter. The atmosphere was very laid back. We hope to return and try more...
