A garden paradise.
Kroket is a beautiful restaurant tucked in between buildings. Enjoy the fresh air when your sit in the covered terrace areas or the inviting dining room that's full of natural light.
Kroket is known for their specialty fish which is called... You guessed it... Kroket haha. It's a delicious, butt flakey Belgian pastry stuffed with delicious ingredients that very depending on the day. I tried it with a chicken quiche filling, but you can try more exciting offers like the chilaquiles kroket.
I also had a small portion of the other fish that they're known for, gourmet inspired pancakes. I had the fig and goat cheese option which has sweet and delicious fig jam complimented by creamy, salty goat cheese, and topped with fresh figs and fresh mint leaves. Unlike any pancake I've ever tried. It was delicious! Although admittedly, I prefer basic, ultra sweet pancake flavors hahaha.
I also had their fresh orange/mango juice and a mazapan coffee. Both were delicious.
Service was welcoming and mostly attentive.
No complaints about this...
Read moreA rather cute brunch place with decent but slow service, but the food was nothing special. After our server finally took our orders, he gave us house cookies, which were fine. The food took quite a while to arrive. We ordered an egg omelette with salad, which looked great but was nothing special.
What was really disappointing were the famed pancakes with fig and a mixture of different toppings. While they were very aesthetically pleasing, the cream tasted off and the pancakes lacked flavor. We left more than half of it because we couldn’t stand the overall taste, which was a shame since that was what I was most looking forward to.
Although our waiter was friendly, the service was dismally slow, which seems to be the norm at this brunch spot. Though the restaurant and the dishes looked great, it isn’t worth visiting, as there are much better places for breakfast in the Roma...
