Llena Eres De Gracia - Antojería Italiana — Restaurant in Mexico City

I grew up in an Italian neighborhood in Brooklyn NY. They referred to me as the Jewapi. I lived in the San Francisco area for over 40 years. I make my own pizza from scratch. I KNOW ITALIAN FOOD!

I was aware of the exceptionally high rating for this restaurant, but I was completely blown away by just how great this place is. The salad was one of the best I have had in the current 5 weeks visit here.

I don't have enough superlatives in my vocabulary to do justice for the calzone we were served. The crust was crunchy and perfect and I say this as someone that makes my own pizza dough from scratch. The filling was moist, tasty and well. PERFECT! Their calzone is as good as the best I ever had in Italy, New York or San Francisco.

It's a pity I waited until my last day here to find this place, but I will be back...

A casual and inexpensive spot for lunch, offering a variety of great lunch specials. Upon arrival, I was greeted and handed a menu. One of the highlights of this place is that you can choose nearly any option from their menu as the entrée for the promotion.

I went with the salad and pasta combo for $155— not bad at all. I ordered the Profecía salad, which had apples and strawberries. It was very simple but decent. For the pasta, I tried the Penitencia, which packed a bit of a punch with its chipotle sauce but was solid overall.

The service was alright, though a bit slow considering I was the only customer there at the time. Still, I enjoyed the food and appreciated the great value of this no-frills Italian...

Pedi un paquete para llevar porque se me hizo atractivo el costo, que la verdad separado si mas caro casi el doble.

Sin embargo cuando lo pedi para llevar me comento que tenia un costo extra de 15 pesos por desechables, que si estaba de acuerdo si no lo mejor era que fuera por mis topers (ok entiendo lo de medio ambiente y el reciclaje) lo que no entiendo ya que había ordenado me lo menciono (ya estaba emocionado por la comida) en un tono un poco de pues es lo que hay si no gracias.

Después me dijo comento amablemente son 3 e incluye agua a lo cual comente que no quería, sin embargo me volvió a comentar yo te cobrar lo mismo. Entonces me iba a cobrar por algo que no quería y que a lo mejor cabía en un desechable como se ve en las fotos sin embargo también pensé que era m error por no fijarme pero en ningún lado encontré lo del costo extra para llevar que francamente nadie lo cobra directamente.

Honestamente casi todas mis mañanas hablo o pido para llevar sin embargo a este lugar no puede hablarle porque siempre voy a tener un cargo extra o llevar mis topers que incluye una perdida...
