Monumental Burger Revolución — Restaurant in Mexico City

I had a really disappointing experience here. My mom and I were looking forward to a nice dinner, but both of our burgers came out raw and mushy inside — they were literally falling apart. When I mentioned that mine was undercooked, the staff got upset and told me “that’s just how the meat is,” which didn’t make sense.

I honestly wasn’t trying to argue — I just didn’t feel comfortable eating it like that. Instead of offering a simple replacement or refund, they pressured me into ordering another burger, even after saying it would “be the same.” Strangely, the second burger they brought out was actually more cooked, which showed the first one really had been raw.

They also didn’t offer a replacement for my mom’s burger and later claimed she had eaten most of it, which wasn’t true. They still charged me for my burger and only reluctantly discussed removing hers from the bill.

For a pricier restaurant, this whole experience was really uncomfortable and unprofessional. We left feeling frustrated and disappointed — I just wish they’d handled it with honesty and respect instead of making us feel like we were in the wrong for...

Monumental Burger is an example of a vision. Not only is the food very good, but also the experience is very pleasant. This is a burger joint to take your date to. It's just the right mix between informal dinner, and good drinks.

There's a variety of burgers, all of them made with fresh ingredients. The burger patty was freshly made and the burger bun was cooked with some butter. I had the blue cheese burger, and it was delicious.

Their fies are very good as well. Everything was perfect about them. Crispy, not burn, salty, but not too salty.

The drinks were well prepared. I had a delicious tangerine mojito. You can tell they have mixologist in the house, the balance of flavours is not random.

Above all, what I enjoyed the most about this place was the service. Axel and his colleagues are very well trained, and they want you to have a good experience at La Monumental.

I visited on a Monday evening around 6:30. It definitely wasn't crowded at that time. Clean, modern restaurant with a few additional tables in front. I had the chicken burger, and it was delicious. Still thinking about it! It had a sauce with some heat, but not over the top. I ordered fries as side, but couldn't finish them. Maybe one order for two people considering the size of the burgers.
