The hotel is definitely or barely a 3 star. Hall carpets are heavily stained. Breakfast is a miserly portion of eggs with a poor presentation with toast and fruit or juice served in pewter dishes. I take objection to eat from pewter dishes, especially old ones full of rust. No cheeses or cereal was available. Nowhere was it indicated when making reservations that breakfast was not a buffet. I was actually hungry after having had breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day for me. In summary, I would strongly recommend to the hotel management to review their breakfast policy and/or to be honest when advertising the price of rooms and what comprises breakfast. Rooms are of a small size. Nothing to do with the pictures on the hotel website. Again, highly deceiving. My recommendation to travellers is to consider other hotels in the city with decent and full breakfasts and more spacious rooms. Staff did not seem to be at all bothered when complained about the quality of the breakfast or...
Read moreStayed in Mexico city (from Australia) for 3 nights at this place it was perfect. Rooms small but it's the same in Europe, modern furnishings throughout I felt like it was best value. The main avenue towards the Angel Statue is relatively safe at 12am we walked and avenues are bustling during the day. In the evening there are working ladies north-east of this location though it feels safe but would not recommend veering further north-east towards the avenue in that direction it felt a bit iffy (in the evening). Plaza Revolution and the walk to it has some small grocery shops and plenty resturants. I was very pleased with this location and the breakfast is well priced if you decide to get more than the complimentary food. Also we paid a little extra and were lucky enough to get our room earlier. Wifi does cut out a bit but it didn't affect our stay as we were always exploring, you can go into the lobby if need be or...
Read moreJust stayed for one night, woke up too late for the free breakfast the next morning! The hotel itself is nice, the lobby is lovely with lemon water and coffee always available. The room is very small but bathroom nice and upgraded. They have a window in the room you can let open for air. The AC unit is extremely noisy and it only cools the area right in front of the bathroom, but somehow doesn’t make it to the actual bedroom which is so tiny so it’s strange it doesn’t circulate lol. Also one big drawback, there is absolutely NO soundproofing. My friend could clearly hear my entire conversation from my room when she was down the hallway! So just be careful with that or talk quietly. Also, the location is ok but nothing like being closer to the zocalo which is my preference. Overall it was a nice hotel but for the price i would probably book at my usual place near the zocalo which has a better AC unit and...
