Orquídea Café — Restaurant in Mexico City

Friendly but very slow service and an underwhelming chai latte.

Upon arriving, I was informed there were issues with their coffee maker, and my order would take about 10 minutes. I agreed to wait and had a seat. The barista was friendly but very distracted, needing to confirm my order twice. Unfortunately, it took closer to 25 minutes for my chai to arrive, and the wait simply wasn’t worth it.

The chai latte was watered down, and the milk they used didn’t complement the drink well. I paid $65 for the chai, plus an extra $13 for the alternative milk, which is average for the area.

This is a cute little cafe set under beautiful canopy of trees and greenery which serve a number of gluten free options such as hot cakes and cakes.
