I had gone here due to my wife finding it on IG looking for unique places here in CDMX.
IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT.
I will start by saying the atmosphere is awesome, incredibly relaxed and still lively, secondly everyone is incredibly friendly and approachable.
When you walk in you are greeted quite an assortment of pastries, and other items. We got seated within seconds and the server just jump right to it. Not pushy or anything at all.
We ordered the Katsu Sando and teriyaki chicken sando. The portions are good size and incredibly flavorful, the bread is made in house and is soft and succulent, next I ordered a Strawberry cheese pastry (Fresca con queso de crema) and chocolate croissant, (chocolatìn). The strawberry one, absolutely refeshing and the crema not as sweet as you expect, so easily eaten and not feeling like sugar poured on a pastry.
The croissant was very nice, fluffy and buttery with the chocolate within, also not to sweet, more semi sweet so easily eaten over time and enjoyed with a drink, I had a Matcha latte iced.
The matcha latte, wasn't overbearing or super sweet, easily had over the course of the time I was there and always tasted good during every sip. I saw several others enjoy it after I had mines, eluding this pretty damn good lol.
Back to the sandos, they're loaded very well with meat and other condiments, and all work well. The teriyaki one had quite an assortment of veggies I usually don't care for but in this variation I thoroughly enjoyed. The Katsu Sando my wife ordered was amazing as well, are large Katsu chicken cut in half with accompanied condiments, combined to create a wonderful Sando. She only at half and I had the rest lol.
Also, we had a Greek yogurt bowl, the fruit and everything along with the warm granola mix was 🤌, could eat one everyday going forward if it was local to me.
All in all come here, relax, enjoy a snack...
Read moreA cozy cafe with a variety of pastries and friendly service. Towards the end of the night, we decided to visit Panya San just before closing looking for a sweet treat. We were greeted warmly, seated promptly, and given menus. Even with only 45 minutes until closing, the staff remained friendly and attentive.
As we only wanted dessert, we ordered a blueberry danish and an improvised London Fog (since they had Earl Grey available). We asked for the danish to be heated, and it arrived just right (8/10). The pastry was tasty and comforting, perfectly matching the cozy atmosphere of the cafe, the dim lighting and the candle on our table were a plus.
The London Fog turned out to be more of an Earl Grey infusion served with a side of lactose-free milk and honey on the side. It wasn’t the traditional London Fog I had in mind, but still a decent attempt (7/10).
The service was quick and friendly throughout our visit. Even shortly before closing, they had a small assortment of pastries still available, though I’d like to return earlier in the day to explore more options. Overall, we had a cozy and lovely experience...
Read moreIf you want to wait for a long time and find dirty and unattended bathrooms, this is your place. They have terrible management of their tables. I wanted to come here for their famous bakery and pancakes but my companion and I had to wait over an hour because of a terribly distracted host, if I could even say there was one. They had two different waiting lists and obviously they had to double check everybody's names. When I eventually got a table, I wanted to use their (only) restroom but it was terribly unhygienic. I won't go into details but I will say that I know it was brunch time and the place was full but a check-in once in a while and a quick clean doesn't hurt anybody. Speaking of turns, I highly recommend you guys get a host because I had a terrible group of around six people take a seat on a two-person table and they were taking every other table's free chairs. I know you guys can't control your customers but you do have the responsibility to know where to seat SIX PEOPLE. The spicy chicken sando and lemonade were definitely not worth my time, my sense of smell, nor my wish to enjoy my...
