Pingüino México (Condesa) — Attraction in Mexico City

BE CAREFUL BUYING HERE--many pieces are broken or flawed and they have a policy of "no returns" which is clearly illegal and even if it's not illegal, that is no way to treat clients. They are targeting gringo tourists but I bought 3 different expensive vases that all had damages that one would not notice at first glance--and of course was denied a return based on a "store policy." A good business owner stands by his products and offers at the very least an exchange when something is broken. Was suggested to visit Pingüino from a local artist in CDMX. We were not disappointed. Not only were the pieces well curated and displayed but the variety and level of quality was amazing. I was helped by Santos during my time and his knowledge of not just the pieces available but the artist that created him was wonderful. Beautiful shop with a unique curation of folk art with a wide variety of prices (some higher end expensive selections, and many small grab and go trinkets with everything in between). Highly recommend for tourists for keepsakes and gifts. I bought so many items here, and Santo was so friendly and helpful and wrapped everything to make items safe for packing.
