Best burgers in town, but some waiters are rude, some waiters are extremely nice.
On one occasion, an item was forgotten from the order. The waiter that took the order said he highly doubted he missed an item. I told him he was unfortunately missing my item from his list, I clearly remember ordering my own burger since I was very hungry and everyone at the table heard as well. His answer was rudely saying, " I guess the customer is always right." I can understand someone missing an item when taking the order, that in itself would not have bothered me, but contesting what everyone on the table heard and then rudely taking the order and not really recognizing his mistake was what bothered me. Another waiter was extremely nice and apologized with free ice cream. This would've been enough for me to consider it an isolated incident.
But on a separate occasion, we called in an order and asked that if it was possible we'd like to dine in, if not possible we'd take it to go. We were going to arrive 15 minutes before close. When we arrived we asked if it would be possibel to dine in, one waiter (I think it was the same one, but not 100% sure) told us we could not sit in because it was too late, that we had to wait outside, that we could not expect to finish eating in 15 minutes. Then another waiter simply brought the food to the table so we could dine in. It was a little confusing, but in the end we enjoyed the meal.
I think there is some miscommunication between the staff, all in all, someone always tries to make the situation better, but some of the staff of the staff brings down the mood of our group with...
Read moreWhat a delightful little restaurant! Had supper there last night with friends. The place was clean, the service was friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. I had the burguesa vegetal - eggplant, calabeza (squash) carrot, parsley pesto, manchego cheese, and I can't remember what else- and the sweet potato chips. The vegetables were not overdone and mushy, nor were they underdone and too crunchy. The chips were like regular potato chips but with a pale orange cast and a slightly sweeter flavor. They were not salted, but I sprinkled them lightly with salt (served in a dish with small spoon rather than a shaker) and they were good. We sat at a table outside along the sidewalk and enjoyed the evening. Bonus- the restroom, although tiny, was beautifully clean. Update: returned with friends yesterday for lunch, ordered the same thing, and it was actually even better the second time. The sweet potato chips were slightly thicker, more sweet-potato like, and the veggies in the burger were done to perfection. This time we sat inside, at the raised table along the wall. They thoughtfully put a mirror along the wall so that three people sitting in a row can still converse easily, as you can all see each other as if you're sitting across from each other....
Read moreThey're "THE HAMBURGER" in the city. Awesome! I'm not a big of hamburgers but they really got me! Perfect size, great taste, excellent cooked, clean and nice presentation, it takes time to get it but when you have the first bite you understand it's fresh cooked. Love the chips in the style I chose (I don't remember the name, honestly) The place is small but comfortable. You can't stay for long time because it's not the place for having a long meal even though you get a pretty nice time there. People are very kind and I love the cake they offered me for my birthday. Great option...
