Peltre Lonchería (Río Lerma) — Restaurant in Mexico City

Probably a hippy fusion place by local food standards, but for two Asians totally unfamiliar with Mexico this was a great, comfortable place near our Airbnb. IMO the feel is similar to Japanese ファミレス for casual eating with friends at reasonable prices, open till decently late, English menus with decent descriptions, and enough local dishes and modern takes to satisfy both palettes. We were usually there 7+8pm, so the place was not full and service was efficient. Peltre used to be one of my favorite spots in CDMX. The chilaquiles are amazing, and they have a great selection of beverages. However, I won’t be returning because of the service. Despite there being around 10 servers, and having visited a few times, I always order an Americano and ask for milk—sometimes 1, 2, or even 3 times—and they always forget it.
