Peltre — Restaurant in Mexico City

I've been here twice. The first time wasn't memorable, but I decided to give it another try as it had been a long time. The second time was a disappointment. I ordered the egg white sandwich (which can't be ordered as a regular egg sandwich without an upcharge) and it was very bland. The red salsa I asked for to liven it up was tasty. The "brioche" bread wasn't very good (it just seemed to be regular sliced sandwich bread). Also, our order took a very long time to arrive and came one plate at a time, and our drinks came last. (Apparently one of the other servers took our order and gave it to another table.) 20 peso upcharge for soy milk in your latte. Nothing special. We had breakfast here this morning. On the positive side, there was no wait, and the service was fast. Our server was attentive and we never felt pressured. However, the coffee was meh, and the food was just okay. We ordered two eggs and bacon for our 10-year-old, which was fine. My husband had the mushroom omelette and liked his plate overall (📸). I love chilaquiles and was excited for the chilaquiles. Ordered the poblano chilaquiles with egg, but it was served cold and the poblano sauce was overwhelming/disappointing.

My husband and I ordered enfrijoladas and hot cakes. Both arrived cold, the edges of the hot cakes were tough like someone tried to revive them in a microwave. Took 10 mins to get syrup. Before we were done eating, the staff were cleaning the table in front of us and then the chairs at our corner spot. As we were leaving we saw another staff member wiping dust over a woman's head. I totally appreciate cleanliness but not while people are dining. Management should pay for the team to clean before opening, or after closing. Will...
