An ultra-modern addition to CDMX’s coffee scene, but a huge letdown in terms of service and overall experience. From the start, it took a while to be acknowledged and seated in highly uncomfortable chairs outside, crammed together with little personal space. Initially, the service seemed promising, with the server offering detailed suggestions about the unique coffee blends on the menu (and there were plenty of them). The variety was impressive, with prices ranging from $60 to $230 depending on the blend, though paying more than $120 felt excessive even for rare options. We opted for a Veracruz house blend coffee and a chai latte. We were intrigued by the alternative milk options, including a toasted pecan milk, which we decided to try with the chai. The drinks arrived shortly after, and while the Veracruz coffee had an excellent presentation and an intriguing flavor, the chai latte was a major disappointment. It lacked flavor, and the pecan milk was weak, failing to add any richness or character to the drink. The real frustration came with the bill. There was an unexpected $20 charge for the pecan milk, which a price tag wasn’t listed on the menu. This gave the impression that alternative milks were complimentary, only to later feel misled. At $95 for the chai latte—already pricey for the area—the extra charge pushed it into unreasonably overpriced territory, especially given the underwhelming flavor. Service declined further when it took forever to flag someone down to pay, and the response about the unclear pricing of the alternative milks was inadequate and unacceptable (and downright illegal charging for something that isn’t explicitly priced). Despite the café’s aesthetic and modern vibe, the seating was uncomfortably stiff, and the experience felt like another overpriced, overhyped, and ultimately disappointing café. It’s a shame because it has so much potential, but poor service, deceptive pricing, and uncomfortable seating make it a disappointing experience.

Another is a spot with a cool, contemporary vibe and a fresh, well-crafted concept that’s definitely worth checking out. The menu is creative and thoughtful without being overwhelmingly exotic. I went for breakfast and was blown away: the truffle eggs were perfectly balanced and absolutely delicious. I also recommend the chilaquiles—the sauce is incredible (though I personally prefer them a bit crunchier). The queso de pueblo takes you straight back to childhood memories (if you're Mexican). The bread is top-tier: their croissant is flawless—not flaky like the Çuina's campechana, nor dense like a basic cuernito from Artesa... it’s just perfect (and that’s coming from someone who has a list called "ruta del croissant" check it out). Despite its modern and laid-back atmosphere, this isn’t one of those places where you get side-eye for asking for regular whole milk. This place is so popular among foreigners that I decided to write this review in English. I was also impressed by their wide coffee selection, so I’ll definitely be coming back to try more. A place with a great concept, warmth, and flawless execution.

Its sleek, modern design and floor-to-ceiling glass facade immediately caught my eye. Inside, the vibe was upscale casual with nearly every table clinking wine glasses, though I wasn’t in the mood to indulge. I opted for a matcha latte. Surprisingly solid. Its balanced blend of earthy matcha and creamy milk, neither overpowering the other. The temperature was spot-on, warm enough to soothe without scalding. Then came the grilled cheese. It arrived with a dollop of mustard, a pickle, and a small pile of decorative greens. The cheese itself oozed in an abundant way. It was too salty, too rich, and just too much, making the bread damp and robbing it of that coveted crunch. As for the fries, they were... there. Unremarkable—soft, slightly limp, and lacking the crisp exterior. Efficient and kind, the staff added a bright spot to an otherwise lackluster experience. They made sure my small meal was served promptly and with care.

Y no decepcionó.
