Pizza Félix — Restaurant in Mexico City

To be clear, eating IN at this place I would give 5*. Great pizza, nice surroundings, friendly servers. Have been multiple times.

But for takeaway, we had an AWFUL experience. Ordered on their website—said there would be a 45-60 min delivery time. Totally fine, but an hour and a half later, still no sign of our delivery... and no update whatsoever from the restaurant. Upon calling (which took about 5 times to get through, the restaurant kept not answering or immediately hanging up), they said that the pizza was ready but they didn't have a driver...and that if we wanted the pizza, we should send an Uber (?!).

Finally she said there WAS a delivery driver and that it'd be there in ten minutes. Over two hours after we'd made the initial order, our pizzas arrived STONE COLD, with no apology, no discount, no little freebie to say thank you for your patience coz you must be super hungry by now (we were).

(Also: conversation on the phone was super unfriendly—tried my hardest to speak in Spanish but I struggle with hearing, so I asked the person on the other end if she could speak slower... she spoke faster and hung up on me. I DO NOT expect people to speak English. But a bit of help and patience for non-native speakers would've been appreciated...especially for a restaurant in Roma)

Pizza Felix: You should communicate to customers when a delivery is going to be late Asking to send an Uber to pick up a pizza is ridiculous Sending fully cold pizza and expecting full price is outrageous Making no effort to remedy the situation only drives people to leave bad reviews on Google.

I 100% understand that restaurants can be busy. But there were so many opportunities for them to ensure that this wasn't the 1* star experience...

Not another place in Roma/Condesa discriminating against locals. Foreigners (especially if you are white), take note and be aware of where you spend your money and how YOU are also responsible for shaping these issues by only hanging out in these areas and with your own people.

A friend and I walked into this place in unassuming casual clothes (they sell PIZZA) and were turned away to the bar outside (in front of the restrooms) because they 'didn't have any space' inside. When I looked behind the host, there were only two tables taken on a Friday afternoon and LOTS of unused spaces. When i asked why we couldn't use any of them, he went on to say that they were going to be having fumigation done and that was why... Pest control? On a Friday at 3:30pm? Doubtful.

Since I was not in a mood to fight and didn't want my friend to feel worse about it, we left and went to Milk instead (better pizza, food, service btw), but I decided to call an hour later to see if they had some room. I spoke in English and they said that they were full at the moment, but that I could gladly show up and wait for a table.

My friend and I are dark skinned Mexican and came in with short sleeve shirts and a t-shirt. Not dressed for an upscale dinner, but not off the streets to be treated this way. I had visited this place many times before with other types of people and it definitely made a difference to how we were treated. I will never recommend this place or visit again and will make sure I talk about it every...

It was our first time here and we will NOT come back.

Our server was racist right from the beginning. My boyfriend is white (who speaks Spanish) and I’m a native Spanish speaker who is a bit tan at the moment from spending a lot of time at the beach. We were able to get our drinks fairly quickly; however we needed time to think on what we wanted to order. She took forever to come back and when she did she was upset that we didn’t ordered a lot. We ordered one pizza to share and it never came. Two people that wasn’t her checked on us and noticed that we weren’t getting any service. There were people who got sat after us and received their food fairly quickly. We waited an hour for one pizza. The food finally came and it was tasty but the service we received was very off putting. Another person came and picked up our plates and we asked him for the bill. She came with the bill and we told her that we wanted to pay in card. Instead of her charging us, she asked a fellow coworker to make the payment. I noticed that she was in the corner staring at us. We opt to not give her a tip for her horrible service. As we were leaving she got upset we didn’t give her a tip. No one checked on us if we wanted another drink or to see how we were doing.

Please avoid her if you can. I wasn’t able to catch her name but she’s pale and on the heavier...
