Plato Grande — Restaurant in Mexico City

We went to Plato grande for pastries and some drinks. A very nice waiter explained all of the pastries in their case, and offered us some free samples of their homemade ice cream. The taro flavor was delicious! We got the Nutella cruffin and the chocolate cream croissant wheel. Both were honestly only ok- they were too sweet and didn’t taste like a strong chocolate flavor. I wish the croissant wheel was more flaky and crispy. The patio was beautiful and nice to sit in. There was WiFi and a quiet vibe. Our waiter was very kind and attentive. He spoke great English...

I have a really friendly and tasty experience with Plato Grande. Arrived just 5min before closing but, I was warmly welcomed (noone mentioned the tight timing). I was served by Gabriel, speaking perfectly English, really cool and helpful approach. He recommended me some dishes and I was happy by the choice. I ordered soup of the day and the special salad, food was fresh, tasty, with the right spices. I definitely recommend...

Las instalaciones son muy bonitas y tiene espacio para cualquier gusto, nosotros estuvimos en terraza y a pesar de que había un ruido como de boiler muy fuerte, es cómodo el espacio. El servicio de meseros fluido pero no excepcional, se tardaron más de 30 min en traernos los platillos (desayuno) a pesar de que solo pedimos café, pan y el plato fuerte. El sabor de los alimentos pueden mejorar, escogimos la recomendación de la casa los huevos benedictinos que estaban ligeramente asidos...la combinación de sabores es diferente y no sería para todos. El otro platillo fueron las enchiladas Yecapixtla, la cubierta de salsa de frijoles estaba un poco desabrida pero compensaba un poco con lo salado de la Cecina, un poco más de chorizo estaría bien. En general las porciones muy abundantes acorde al precio a excepción de los jugos. Algo que tienes que prevenir es que no tiene estacionamiento ya que está sobre avenida y con bastantes entradas...
