Rutas Café Ciclista — Restaurant in Mexico City

Food was good...got the avocado toast and dulce toast. However, I ordered the matcha drink and it was the worst matcha I've ever had (and I've had a bunch)! Really low quality and they also burnt it. What's worse is the customer service. I told the server how bad it is and at first she wouldn't believe it could be bad. After hesitation she agreed to take the matcha back and let me get a dirty chai instead. Unbelievably I still got charged for the matcha and when I called her out on it, she said the match was " bien" and there's nothing she can do! After some push back from me she finally said I can get another drink to go instead of the refund on matcha. Never experienced this kinda customer service...if I hadn't paid attention to bill she would've gotten away with the...

The food took a while, yet my burger was very cold! I don’t mean room temperature or lukewarm. I mean cold, like out of the refrigerator. I think the meat must have been frozen when they started cooking it. The flavor was good. If it had been cooked properly, it would have been a good burger. They took it back so I thought they were making a new burger or at least cooking the patty longer. It came back kind of mushy and still not hot. I also don’t understand how the cheese was melted on, but that was cold too. Fries were Ok… not really much flavor. I expected better for the prices. The sauce was good. It was almost like a honey mustard.

The best thing about Ruta’s is location and atmosphere. There’s a boutique and bike shop on the back. Servers...

The coffee is awesome. It is in a great location and they do a lot of group rides. Why only three stars? The rides aren't no drop. They are about racing riding not just a ride. They will drop you. Also, they don't communicate with you when you ask them questions online. So, if you havent done a ride with them and you have questions you are kind screwed. I guess you could just show up but why get up at 6 in the morning to do a ride where you wouldnt have done if you had more information. Also, came in for a quick espresso after a solo ride to La Venta....just wanted ten minutes of chill after the ride and was invaded and pushed out of my space by a returning group ride. What the absolute ffff.... The place is a clique of amateurs who think they are pros. They need to go read the rules. I would go another coffee shop....period.

El café es increíble. Está en una excelente ubicación y organizan muchos recorridos grupales. ¿Por qué solo tres estrellas? Los recorridos no son sin bajada. Se trata de carreras, no solo de un recorrido. Te dejarán sin bajada. Además, no se comunican contigo cuando les haces preguntas en línea. Entonces, si no has hecho un recorrido con ellos y tienes preguntas, estás en problemas. Supongo que podrías simplemente aparecer, pero ¿por qué levantarte a las 6 de la mañana para hacer un recorrido que no habrías hecho si tuvieras más información? Además, entré para tomar un espresso rápido después de un recorrido en solitario a La Venta... solo quería diez minutos de relajación después del recorrido y un grupo de participantes que regresaba me invadió y me empujó fuera de mi espacio. ¡Qué ffff!... El lugar es una camarilla de aficionados que creen que son profesionales. Deben ir a leer las reglas. Iría a otra...
