It was our first time at this place, and the service was bad. We had to wait 20 minutes just to order our drinks, even though a couple of waiters passed by our table without acknowledging us. When I ordered a Malibu with pineapple juice, I asked for the juice to be served separately, as I usually do — and they charged me for the juice. Did they think I was drinking the rum straight?

We also ordered two rum drinks with the mixers on the side, but they only brought us one set of mini mixers for both drinks. I’ve been to other cantinas, and this has never happened before. When I asked for the second set of mixers, the waiter said there would be an extra charge.

Honestly, I was so disappointed with this place — bad service, bad attitude. The only saving grace was the amazing...

🍻Absolutely legendary cantina.🍻 This traditional and friendly spot, right off the main square, is supposedly the place where ranchera giant José Alfredo Jiménez got his start singing in public – although some say he was only a waiter here. The walls have great clippings from newspapers and magazines that featured Jimenez and followed his career, as well as a neat model of the Kiosko Morisko. Salón Paris is a favorite with locals and still, at times, offers live music. If not — the jukebox is always available! Clearly a classic watering hole for locals and visitors alike, lots of selection, crispy cold beers, and delicious bites. Try the tacos de arrachera and spicy green...

5 stars for the location, loved the neighborhood esp the park that makes the whole area so lively. Food was ok, soup was below avg. Music they play ( live) gets too loud to even attempt talking. No waiting and parking is on street. Most of the visitors/guests were mid/old age
