It is time to identify my "daily driver" in Mexico. If you haven't read my other reviews, or don't know car terminology, look up the history of the NSX.

When it comes to the atmosphere, I actually don't like La Condesa, the neighborhood where this restaurant is located, very much. In summary, "I came Mexico for the Mexico (new tourism slogan)," not to be an expat. So it became odd when I started commuting across town to have my regular breakfasts here.

The location itself is great, with seating on the sidewalk, inside, and of course, the backyard. Even with that much seating this place still fills up, so don't be surprised if there's a wait on the weekend, but it's worth it.

The staff is really nice, and for the most part bi-lingual. Their English isn't perfect, but they seem to enjoy the practice of getting there, so it's best to help them out whenever possible. It's nothing major, there are just words that don't always translate, so letting them know which word to use is pretty helpful a lot of times. It makes their service even better.

The food is definitely a standout, with their specialty being brisket. So, if you order something without the brisket, you're probably missing out on the experience. Personally, I switch back and forth between the egg sandwich and the chilaquiles.l, both are great.

They have an arrangement of other foods like pancakes and waffles, but the menu for lunch and breakfast isn't particularly large, but the quality of every plate is high.

They are listed as American food, but much like America's true food menu is stolen from other countries, so is this one. Hamburgers, pizza, and other "American" food are found on the menu, each one holding its own against other restaurants. It's pretty impressive.

Notably, I began coming here because of the coffee. I thought it was amazingly bold to have a huge sign saying "Choose Great Coffee" when your next door neighbor is the "Starbucks" of Mexico. My kind of people...

Five Stars!

P.S - Regarding suggestions, your pancakes and waffles are more than likely scoring low with customers because of the amount of syrup with which they are served. Syrup with pancakes isn't as common in Mexico as most Americans think, and when serving them as thick as they are here, they need roughly triple the amount of syrup provided. They dry out during...

A really great place! Wonderful food, super service and amazing desserts....I recommend the cheese cake! One of the best cups of coffee in the city too. Only wish their brunch menu had more choices and hash browns!

Above is my review from last year after eating Lunch there last week I was quite disappointed. It has such potential and a great back area (backyard). The staff is barely alive, zero personality or charm they slowly but surely get the job done while never exuding any charm. Despite being only one of two tables food took ages and when it arrived it was cold and looked like it was sitting out. My brisket tasted great but had cold hard melted cheese on it and not the freshest bun, the gravy was cold and had a film on top ...shame I could see how it might have been really good. My husbands shrimp sandwich was tiny and served on stale bun. The prices are higher so it would be great if the sandwiches cane with a side like French fries, Mac n cheese or coleslaw. Lots of room for improvement with it this could be a...

Good service, decent yet average pancakes, but a bit on the pricier side. This American-style breakfast spot offers all the classics. I was greeted and seated outside by the sidewalk. I ordered pancakes but skipped the drinks since all breakfast items come with a side of fruit and orange juice. The orange juice tasted fresh, but the melon and papaya didn’t have that same freshness.

The pancakes arrived a bit later—four smaller, fluffy pancakes garnished with berries. They were decent, not overly sweet, which I appreciated, but nothing out of the ordinary. Despite their size, I got full after three, so they’re a bit deceiving in that regard. However, for $165, they’re on the pricier side, though the included juice and fruit somewhat justify it.

Service started off well but then slowed down considerably when it came time to get the bill. They also offer a wide variety of beverages, both alcoholic and caffeinated drinks. While the pancakes looked appetizing, they weren’t...

Mediocre intento de comida “americana” Such a disappointment! We ordered the egg sandwich and the avo Benedict. The egg sandwich seemed meh, whatever and it wasn’t anything special. The Benedict look unappetizing, the “hollandaise” was a more a squeeze of mayo and why on earth would I want unseasoned, raw kale on it? The poached egg was just poorly made! The brioche was sooooo thick, you could cut it in half and make a thick sandwich out of it. No seasoning and just simply disgusting. And their obsession with kale is depressing. Service was ok. The place looks messy, like they don’t have storage so they have stuff all over, chairs underneath the bar. Same in the kitchen and the worst is that it is all open for everyone to see.
