In my opinion, it is not worth to eat here. 500 pesos for Mole tasting seems overly expensive in this place, also considering that you’ll do it with a view over a ground floor parking (the toilet itself is in the parking area: I had to exit the restaurant and walk past the cars to use it). As soon as the waiter let the bill on our table, she was pretty anxious to collect it (she came back twice within minutes). I didn’t left with a good feeling about our meal. I can’t help thinking that this hyped Mole tasting here is a tourist trap. Also, I had better Mole in other restaurants. — The picture of the bill is just to secure my review

Definitely a tourist trap, but we still ordered the 7 mole dish for 750 pesos against my own gut instinct. Several mole were good, but several just didn't have much flavor at all. I was really surprised how dull they tasted. The dismal mole were sprinkled with chicken, and came with a lemon onion side dish, a scoop of rice and tortillas which you can ask for more. This mole dish is waaayyy overpriced, made for gringos. Each individual mole dish was very smal, and did not come with any vegetables such as avogados or tomatoes. Service was good, but I would order something else, or go somewhere else.

If you love mole then look no further. Restaurante Coronita served us about 10 different moles. From the lightest, to green, to almond, to the deepest chocolate, the range of moles was unbeaten and extensive. They accompanied their moles with homemade tortillas and rice. To drink we were served a variety of waters, beers, organic wine, Mezcal margaritas and traditional margaritas. It is my strongest opinion that every visit to Oaxaca should include mole, and a rich variety of moles. And Restaurante Coronita is the only option.

Our visit to Restaurante Coronita was quite disappointing. We ordered a variety of dishes, including chicken with salad and rice. Unfortunately, the portion sizes were very small, especially the chicken, which was so dry it was inedible. When we brought this up to the waiter (who was very kind), the manager (or whoever he consulted) was rude and suggested we make soup with it or dip it in the extremely spicy sauce instead of addressing the issue.

Additionally, they brought steamed vegetables instead of the salad we ordered and refused to correct it. Another dish, the tlayudas, came with minimal meat and beans, making it dry as well. The fish was also overcooked and dry, and the deep-fried chicken was mostly burnt breading with barely any meat. The corn soup was too sweet but restaurant is beautiful. Given the high prices, the portions and quality were disappointing. We expected much better from...
