I was raised in the Fast Food Capital of the world...the US...with that being said, as much as I love a home cooked meal or authentic Mexican food I do get a craving for some fast food, I've been to the Burger King off Constituyentes multiple times but they just don't cut it, the McDonalds tasted more like the one from home but I never liked MickeyDs that much anyway (my favorite places were Burger King and Wendy's for fast food burgers - I'm from MN) and since there is no Wendy's here and BK doesn't cut it, I have to give it up to Carl's Jr. Even though we no longer have Carls jr in MN, we have ONE STAND ALONE HARDEE'S...so today was one of those days I was craving fast food and Carl's Jr hit the spot...exactly what I was looking for. I spent around MX$200 for a Guacamole Angus Large Meal and I got cheese dip for my fries...they have Aguas Frescas there too which surprised me but i got the Agua de Jamaica and it was surprisingly good...I expected to get that Splenda or Stevia flavor which I absolutely hate but no it had none of that flavor...I am guessing they actually use real sugar for that but man,...

We've never been to a Carl's Jr. before and someone on 5th Avenue was handing out flyers so we decided to try. The first time we had a coupon for 2 for 1 ice creams. They were actually pretty good and it was a hard ice cream cone not soft serve. The burgers looked good so even though I wasn't overly hungry I got one. I can't remember the name of the burger I had but it was the #1. I thought it would just be a little burger but it was huge and had bacon and cheese for 99 pesos. It was actually very good and reminded me of a Whopper. We went back for lunch and had the honey mustard chicken tender sandwich combo. The sandwich was also very good and very fresh, the fries were good and they had a couple of sugar free options for drinks. I also had the Jalapeno cheese poppers with ranch dip which were pretty good for the price. You can get your own pickles and jalapenos on the side and the pickles were fresh and crispy. We will definitely return for cheap eats off 5th Avenue. It was a little hard to find coming...
