Absolute worst customer experience in all of Playa del Carmen. Waiter had a horrible attitude argued with me and multiple people at my table dictated that we should all be ready to order at the same time pull people how they were going to pay and thought he was doing a favor in general.
Then of course did not have the common sense to give individual bills so we had a table of 15 people trying to figure out who was responsible to pay what. I did an attitude when we initially asked for individual bills and he just chose to ignore everyone's request.
When it came time for me to pay my bill he obviously did not deserve any type of tip whatsoever and I did not have exact change and when I asked for exact change he told me to just leave the money on the table.
At that point in time I went up to the register paid my portion of the bill and took the money and put the rest of it in my pocket giving him absolutely zero gratuity.
Unless you prefer enjoy very poor customer service I highly recommend you...
Read moreWent a few weeks ago for my friends birthday and the steak was phenomenal, I'd absolutely go back for the steak. Truly some of the best steaks I've had in Playa, but like many restaurants in Playa it's hit or miss.
We went back again a few days later for lunch and it wasn't great. Primarily, the menu for the milanesa says mozzarella(which I verified) but the milanesa I received had sliced manchego, this change was never ran by us. Very different cheeses and very different flavors. I tried to peel off as much of it as I could(and at no point did the waiter ask if something was wrong) but manchego has a strong taste and I could eat it. Had the menu said manchego, I wouldn't have ordered it.
Then it was 20 pesos more on the bill than the menu. None of these are necessarily bad things on their own but together it made for a less than pleasant lunch date.
All in all, I'll definitely be back but I wish the menu was updated/accurate and the...
Read moreThis is an Argentinian restaurant. I ordered empanadas. They come either fried or baked. The waitress did not clarify, nor ask, if I wanted them fried or baked. I assumed since it was Argentinian restaurant they would come baked since empanadas in Argentina are baked. They came fried. When the food runner put them down on the table, he started getting into an argument with me and told me it was my responsibility to clarify. No no no...it's the waitress's responsibility to clarify that you want them fried or baked. Fried empanadas are nasty. Completely nasty. Gross. Horrible. Ate only one bite and my stomach groveled and was immediately upset because of the grease. I was physically sick for a couple hours. And that's only one bite. Yuck. Never again! But was more upsetting was how arrogant the...
