This was a delicious spot we found, and glad we did. The waitress was very friendly, service was good, and the food was amazing. I got the beef sandwich with green peppers and onions, and I can't believe how good it was. The home made fries were great too. My wife enjoyed her very generous portion of fried chicken with eggs. All together, with 2 waters and tip, we are around $10/person. Can't wait to return to try their breakfast, which I was told is served until 1. The place was clean and relaxed. It is pet friendly as well, the owner has a very cute dog. They accepted credit cards, you just need to pay at the register (there is no table side card reader). Update: we've been back to eat here at least a dozen times, and are always pleased. We've tried a variety of dishes, and each one delivered on flavor. Also found out they have delicious juices you should try. The orange and orange with carrots are quite tasty.

We ordered "Huevos motulenos" and a latte and an orange juice. The latte was very good. But it has been about two weeks since I had a latte 😅 My husband was very pleased with the orange juice, especially when he tasted that it was freshly squeezed orange and had little bits of orange. The Huevos motulenos was interesting. Not bad, just different. It was two crispy tortillas, two fried eggs, tomato salsa/sauce, peas, plantain, ham, sour cream and mashed black beans. The sour cream gave it an interesting flavor and so did the peas when you got a few on your fork. It was interesting to try, but I wouldn't order it again. "Been there, done that" But the service was good. She noticed when we got chilly from the fans and turned them off for us. And was attentive to the other guests as well.

Came here for lunch today and had a great time! Friendly & prompt service, it seems like a family run establishment as they had ppl of all ages greeting each other sweetly, plus a cute old doggie who is so snoozey. Had the baked chicken empanada and a steak sandwich complete. The sandwich was huge and definitely enough for 2 of us Europeans. Coke Zero is served in huge glass bottles (600ml) which is great for the warm weather to keep you hydrated. With 2 coke zeros and the empanada and sandwich it came to 310 pesos. Very reasonable prices and a comfy atmosphere.

DO NOT let them take your payment card to the back!! This place may be stealing your info!!!

Went there for breakfast a couple weeks ago… food and coffee was mediocre, juices were good. Honestly was a 1 star restaurant and I wouldn’t normally bother with a bad review BUT…

It was EXTREMELY ODD that this restaurant took my credit card to the back when I paid. Now two weeks later I have over $3600 USD (71,000 pesos) in FRAUDULENT CHARGES to my card from Playa Del Carmen! I’ve been traveling in Mexico for a couple of months and this is the ONLY place that has ever done this - everywhere else runs the transaction right in front of you!

If you choose to eat here PAY CASH or DO NOT LET YOUR CARD OUT OF YOUR SIGHT! This was highly unusual and suspicious behavior.

While I can’t say what happened for sure, I would say I’m pretty aware of card scams abroad (I’ve spent time in over 30 countries and have never had a problem).. so unless we randomly got RFID skimmed, it happened here....

This was the worst service we've had in about 300 restaurant visits, our server would have done well to call in sick if she was going to be this rude about everything. We went to try the stuffed mushrooms and empenadas. She first said no empenadas so we considered leaving, then a guy called out that he'll make them so we stayed. Then she came to say no mushrooms. The empenadas for both of us came on the same plate and she asked if we want our own plate, then didn't know which was vegetarian vs meat inside. They do not come with any side or even a sauce to help with the taste of vegetable oil, which was all I could taste. We were told about the long wait time up front, but the vegetable oil snacks were definitely not worth it. I wish I hadn't finished them but I was hungry, and now my stomach hurts 😫 Then she brought us the wrong bill "on accident" charging us double of what our total actually was... P.S. she said the lunch menu posted online is not...
