UPDATE: We went back to try dinner. Had he house salad and chilequiles verde. Both were good. However, I need to change my review because of the awful service we received. Our waiter was sarcastic and rude with me when I tried to order using the Spanish words. I specifically said “no me gusta picante” but he didn’t warn me the verde sauce is fairly spicy/hot. Ok, I can understand that. What we can’t let go of is what he did when we paid. The bill was 455, we paid 505 pesos expecting 50 pesos change, which we would decide what to do with. At EVERY other restaurant we’ve been to (all over the world) the waiter returns the bill/change and allows you to then peace a tip if you want. This waiter took the bill, then went out front and messed with his phone for 10 minutes while we sat with empty table waiting for him to return. He never checked with us,never returned with the receipt/change and basically ignored us. We likely would have left a tip, but he took this option away from us. Husband is livid about it.
Original: Had breakfast here today. We will be back to try the amazing looking lunch menu- but will likely get it to go because this restaurant has the most uncomfortable chairs we have ever sat in! 😣 We had the vegetarian croissant and the chilequiles plate, plus specialty juices. Pros: -the food! OMG it was delish! the chilequiles verde sauce was just the right amount of picante (spice). we had never had mollette yet and it’s not to be missed. think “toasted english muffin but not dry” with a. smear of beans and luscious cheese. I had the Gold and Sweettart had the rainbow specialty juice. Good. prices were very fair especially for the location. server was helpful and spoke english. -hey enforces covid-19 protocols.
Cons: -service was very slow - understaffed with one server for the whole olace. -the chairs. ouch 😣 even though they had what looked like a pad, we were both stiff and sore after sitting...
Read moreProbably the best restaurant in all Playa del Carmen. I ate there every lunch for the past 2 weeks and loved everything I could try from entrances to deserts. Menu of the day : 120$ pesos with entrance main course, water of the day and deserts. All home made ! Very good price/quality ratio. Looks like the grand Mather of my girlfriend who is Mexican is cooking everyday for us.
Very nice people and cool place. Service a bit slow because everything is Minute made, but take your time and enjoy The only place where you can try the real Mexican food (other than tacos).
If you go there, you have to try my favorites : enchiladas verde arroz con leche chilaquiles tacos dorados (looks like meal not street tacos)
For the team: Loved your food and smile ! Hasta pronto en Playa ! ❤️. Reviewed from French...
Read moreDuring my recent trip to Playa Del Carmen, I stumbled across this fantastic restaurant and had to visit twice because I enjoyed it so much. The server was attentive and had excellent recommendations, including the sopes and the menu of the day. The house burrito and Mediterranean torta were also top-notch. The fresh juice was a real treat, too.
The chill atmosphere and reasonable prices made it a real gem in Playa Del Carmen. It's clear that the focus is on healthy and delicious food, and the daily specials and soups reflect this perfectly.
Overall, I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a fun and healthy dining experience. The fact that I visited twice during my trip is a testament to how much I enjoyed it. If you're in the area, make sure to...
