It turns out that when ordering in a Thai restaurant, where spicy food is originally supposed, I must say that I, please, spicy. Vice versa. it turns out that the Thai restaurant needs to be told that I need a spicy salad, but where is the logic? As a result, I got a sour salad with home delivery. There was absolutely no pepper. At this point, I had hypothermia in my body and needed pepper to warm my body from the inside. As a result, I myself came to the restaurant, where the manager did not understand me at all, returned my order and said we would not fix anything. That is, I had to write that this salad was a spicy THAI restaurant, where already it SHOULD be a very very very spicy salad. At the same time, they do not admit their mistake and insist that THIS IS NORMALLY SOUR THAI SALAD. The most interesting thing is that they sit and prove to me that they are right. This is terrible. This is terrible, I would fire such managers.
To the review above, I will continue my story.
And I clearly asked for ONE large pepper and instead of cashew peanuts. They did the opposite, SEVEN HUGE Peppers and a peanut. when I arrived home, I was horrified, the Buddhist chef began to take revenge, you know, it’s not even childish, he put me seven Peppers. For such a small amount. Of course, after this, I will not return to this restaurant in my life, and I will tell all my friends. We live here, and when there are no tourists, you will not see us in your restaurant. I am silent about the behavior of your managers, who closed the door to me in front of my face in front of all the visitors. Because they didn't want to change my salad. Who actually works there? Do they have an education? To argue with customers and prove that they are right. That Thai salad should be sour and I should say that I need it spicy. This is such nonsense that only an uneducated person who has never visited Thailand would come up with. I don't know what happened to these people where there was a very good energy and now they are just doing dirty things and doing it out of spite. They don't respect or listen to their customers. It's time to...
Read moreLet me first just say that the experience here was made so much better because of our waitress, Iris, who was extremely knowledgeable, kind and thoughtful. Of note, I have celiac (strict gluten-free), and I'm vegetarian, and had a great time dining here. For celiac, they were cautious and aware of cross contamination protocols. I started off with the Thai tea which was so different from what I am used to in the states; it was less sweet and felt a lot more authentic. It was a mix of creamy and perfect balance of flavor, might have been the best Thai tea I've ever had outside of Thailand. For the food, the Pad Thai was absolutely delicious! I got it with steamed tofu, the noodles were well-cooked, the whole dish was well-seasoned, portions were generous, and absolutely no complaints about the food. Lastly, just wanted to give another shoutout to Iris. She was extremely helpful with helping me find an appropriate item I could eat off the menu due to being celiac, and she knew pretty much every ingredient in every single dish and how it was cooked off the top of her head, so I felt very confident in safely eating here, and she also communicated this to the kitchen. Her suggestions for drinks were also excellent. As a small note, it was also nice to be able to eat in an indoor restaurant given the heat outside. Overall, great experience eating here, and will definitely come back when I'm back...
Read moreVisiting from Australia we were craving fresh, tasty cuisine and vegetables! We are very blessed to enjoy some of the best Asian food and Thai is especially one of our national dishes. Firstly, Our waiter Antonio was charming, attentive and provided brilliant service - he is a credit to the restaurant.
When we ordered our first drink - The Margarita he mentioned they were the best on the strip, which of course we all chuckled about but then they came out - wow. I’ve never had a margarita presented like that and it was also absolutely delicious and not too sweet or watered down like we’d had at other bars or restaurants.
As each dish arrived - spring rolls, satay chicken, fried rice and our mains - the first thing that we all agreed “The chef must be Thai!?”… we enquired with Antonio and this was true. This isn’t a watered down version of Thai you find in other countries - it is genuine and authentic and a must dine when you visit Playa. Nothing is short of heat if that’s what you seek - I love super spicy and was able to enjoy that along side milder options for my friends. Chilli flakes, spicy tamarind and crushed peanuts were available on the side of you wanted to jack up the heat.
Overall the service from all team members was top notch with Antonio being the highlight. In a busy restaurant, he always made sure each table and their guests were taken care of. 10/10...
