Chose this little shop off the map while vacationing, and have been craving their pozole soup ever since. It was amazing. The other dishes were good and 'yuge' proportions, our table of 4 probably could have shared 1 or 2 dishes, if everyone got the pozole too. The staff wasn't quite a prompt as the other reviews suggest, but they warmed up and were friendly, although we barely could communicate, which wasn't a big deal. Only thing about Abuelita's is there was no cerveza. Add that and it's a 6/5 stars. If I lived in PdC, I'd undoubtedly be a regular.

Excellent service here! The chicken consume was so flavorful. The pozole was amazing. The best I've had ever! We took our food back to our resort (about 20 min away), and it was still piping hot! I gotta say the food in playa was wayyy better than anything at the resort we stayed at. This place was 12/10 must try!

Pozole is a traditional Mexican soup especially for festivities and holidays.

Pozoleria serves pozole and many other amazingly good dishes.

Staff is friendly, but little to no English. The menus however has a picture of every dish and is fully translated for both Espanol and English, so point and enjoy.
