Casa de asadores Martín & Santos — Restaurant in Quintana Roo

I visited this restaurant with my wife after hearing glowing recommendations from a local, who said it was a “reliable spot for quality meat.” We ordered bone marrow, and asked for champagne to pair with it. Unfortunately, they were out of champagne — fair enough — but the waiter recommended a sparkling wine instead, claiming it was a good alternative.

What we received was one of the lowest-quality sparkling drinks I have ever tasted — barely drinkable, and certainly nowhere near the nearly 60 zł / 320 MXN price tag. It was a cheap, acidic bottle pretending to be something premium. We politely voiced our disappointment and were met not with an apology or understanding — but were asked to leave the restaurant.

Yes, we were kicked out for simply giving honest feedback on a misleading product.

This level of arrogance and disrespect towards customers is shameful. For a place that markets itself as upscale, this was nothing short of a scam wrapped in snobbery. Poor product, dishonest service, and absolutely zero hospitality.

Amazing food, friendly service, cool and modern ambiance.

We had the Skirt steak and the Loin steak here, and both were fantastic! The steaks were cooked to a perfect medium rare on the charcoal grill. The accompanying mashed potatoes and grilled veggies were equally delicious, but overshadowed by the amazing grilled meats. Paired with an Argentinian Malbec, it was an absolutely fantastic meal. Simply excellent. We had the burger and the arracherra from the charcoal grill and both were phenomenal. The arracherra was a quality cut of meat and cooked to perfection with utmost care and professionalism by the chef behind the grill. While the meat is definitely the star of the show, the sides were on point as well. Try the mashed potatos and the grilled veggies. Service was great and truly cared for our experience with the chef personally asking us how we liked the meat. We will definatly be back next time and...
