I want to preface this by saying: we stopped by this place when we had done an overnight flight with a 3 hour drive plus ferry and food was limited on the oddessey. We were tires and hungry and absolutely unfamiliar with our surroundings. I gave this 4 stars for two specific reasons- the ceviche was not to my personal taste. I'm a purest and the added spices and flavors did not hit my pallette in the right way, nor my husband's. Also, the sweet server asked us 3 times if we were done or wanted anything else before we finally just asked very directly for the bill because it to so, so, so, so long to get it. The food also took a bit but no harsh judgements because I was so hungry I had less patience and I wasn't on island time yet. My husband got the lobster burger and had we both ordered that it might have been 4.5 for me. It was delicious and not like anything either of us had ever tasted. The family next to us had pasta a pizza and looked quite pleased. And we had 4 younger adults that showed up after the family left and it was just the 6 of us on the patio. I admit, while the service was slow.. the sever was especially sweet. She always had a smile. She was kind and patient. One of the 4 was dead set intent on Instagramming every drink and dish at her table and it was actually adorable to watch (this one time) because all of her friends were game and giggling as they filmed. Our server couldn't have been more accommodating to the group. And.. their drinks and pizza looked divine even if we didn't taste it ourselves. All of them looked happy. I'd say- give it a try if you can come with a relaxed attitude and a enough time to spare. Overall we...
Read moreTo start, I need to mention the man who I believe was the owner. He was outside, providing free samples of pizza and garlic bread. THAT'S how confident they are with their food. There was also a group of people drinking outside the restaurant, 2 were dancing a salsa or so. Instead of shooing them off, he comes out with a bottle of champagne and enough glasses for all of them. Thanking them for their "performance". Truly wonderful to see such simple kindness.
Now the food. As mentioned before, they know how good their food is. The pizza was amazing with the crust being the absolute star of the show - I opted for a simple marinara, and enjoyed every bite.
My gf went for the burger. There is only one and they make the bun from the same dough as the pizza. I had a bite, as I'm always wanting to try everything on the table, and it was honestly one of the best burgers I've tried - the burger meat was very juicy and flavourful, and the pizza buns were a stroke of genius, providing a soft & crunchy sensation. Safe to say, I had to take more than one bite! Haha
They also provide a platter of sauces and spices for you to choose at your own whim!
This was the kind of dining experience I will not forget.

Read moreI came here in August during covid time with my family. I really didnât want to go in after seeing that none of the staff there wore a mask! But my parents insisted to try the pizza there and thought I was being paranoid so I had to go in with them. Yes, while most other places in Holbox followed the precautions very carefully, this place seemed not to care about the virus at all. Nobody from the chefs to the waitresses to the person who seemed to be the owner wore a mask. Well, actually our waitress put her dirty mask on when she came to a table and it fell under her chin the whole time. Once she left any table, she took the mask off completely. I even saw her once using the mask to wipe her face.... Wearing a mask is the simplest and most basic thing to do to prevent the virus. But these people couldnât even do that so I doubt they actually do any precautions. It just shows that they are very careless and who knows what else happens behind us, the customers?? Giving them 2 stars just because of...
