This pizza restaurant is excellent. They have only been in their new location on Stirling Dickinson (Stirling Dickinson #13) for about a month, but they are already doing an excellent job. They are still improving location (formerly it was a gyro place and then Arroz Arroz) but it is vastly improved with better seating, more shade, and overall a just more inviting environment.
The owner was incredibly friendly. While I only ordered our meals to go, she served me filtered water and we discussed the San Antonio neighborhood while I waited for the pizza. She was unnecessarily apologetic because there was a painter there painting a sign out on the front entrance, but it is easy to tell she really wants to make this property look great.
I ordered a margarita pizza with mushrooms and a mixed salad to go. The pizza was thin crust, just the way we like it. It was crispy and had the perfect texture. The sauce wasn't overly seasoned, but was good. The tomatoes were fresh and the basil had an incredible flavor (I think next time I would order it with extra basil). I asked for mushrooms to be added to the pizza and there was plenty of them (too many pizza places are skimpy when you add extra toppings).
The mixed salad was excellent, served with red lettuce and spring mix, tomatoes, red onion, and black olives. The vinaigrette dressing was phenomenal.
We are looking forward to...
Read moreWe wanted a quick dinner after picking up the dogs from the vet around the corner, so stopped into Emma, and I am glad that we did! This is some of the best pizza I have had in a long time, and definitely the best that I've had in San Miguel. We ordered the Paulie Gee, which was fantastic. The owner and staff are super nice and friendly too, so it was nice to have a chat with them. Emma's will definitely be my go-to pizza place...
Read moreHallelujah. I repeat, hallelujah. To put a fine point on it, I have been hard pressed to find edible pizza in San Miguel, let alone delicious. Emma came through and I am thrilled. It’s as close to thin crust pizza as you’ll find in this town. You will not be eating a mouthful of low-grade dough. I will be ordering from them at least once a week. Thank heavens for...
