Ten ten pie al carbon — Restaurant in San Miguel de Allende

We had walked by this place multiple times and it always smelled so good. It was quite popular, so we decided to drop by on a Friday night.

Shortly after we sat down, we were presented with a small plate of carrot and jicama strips sprinkled with a sweet tajin seasoning. The perfect little nibble.

We started with a local beer and a San Miguelita, which is a Mezcal Hibiscus and Orange Margarita. Fantastic cocktail. We enjoyed them with the freshly made guacamole, which has onions and tomatoes. Such a tasty appetizer.

We were catching up after a busy week and our server never rushed us to order. We were enjoying the charming courtyard with all the plants and the charming ambiance.

We ordered the Chicken Skewers with grilled veggies and the baked potato and the Hawaiian hamburger.

All of a sudden, it was thundering and started to sprinkle. Our server quickly grabbed our stuff and helped us quickly relocate under the covered area just before the downpour happened.

The burger with grilled pineapple was exceptional with a really good fresh roll. The Provencal fries were thin and seasoned.

The grilled veggies were perfectly al dente and flavorful. The two skewers were large and packed with grilled chicken and veggies. The baked potato was served with a creamy cheese sauce and topped with bacon.

Everything was so good. The food was well presented, fresh, and very tasty. We were extremely full when we finished this amazing meal.

The owner was so friendly and inviting and the whole staff was so professional.

I highly recommend this neighborhood...

A few months back I ordered chicken kebobs on Uber, but I was sent chicken fajitas. The site actually said, you ordered this previously so I thought I was ordering what I always ordered. Then the next time I wanted to order the chicken kebobs they removed from the Uber menu. Therefore I started ordering the grilled lemon garlic chicken. Then tonight, I ordered the lemon garlic chicken but again the restuarant sent chicken fajitas. I don't eat chicken fajitas and there was barely 6 little pieces of chicken. I never order fajitas.in any restaurant. I asked Uber to credit my order but they charged back the order. I had to actually make something else for dinner since I threw away the fajitas. You need to fix your menu or stop substituting something people don't want or ever...

Very local experience with very delicious tasty food at reasonable pricing. The atmosphere is typical San Miguel with very nice helpful servers and generous portions. Super suggest their hamburgers. Not the run of the mill. Tastes like the real deal ground beef grandma used to make. The Hawaiian is my favorite. Eight of us there last night and seven hamburgers one Salmon. Salmon, well save it for Alaska not too much water around here. The guac and eggplant appetizer are great. The eggplant is not breaded and not fried. All oven work for a change. Much healthier.
