I'm not one to write bad reviews but I have to for this place. I walked in to this small place Lavanda Cafe with the hopes to eat here since the reviews where good however the moment we got there we are a party of 5 the 2 ladies that were in the front were not pleasant what's so ever. My family and I greeted them with kindness and asked if we can be accommodated to eat breakfast? Right away they said no, which is fine since we didn't have a reservation, however they were very rude and continued with an attitude and where very adamant about our family size and saying it was too big to be accommodated that even if they had spaced we weren't going to be seated together at the same table due to Covid regulations mind you we clearly saw table with a party of six seating together right in front of us, then they mentioned how even if they could, the wait is about an hour wait and then we were told rudely to move out of the way since we're blocking entrance mind you once again there was nobody going in or out. We felt the negative attitude for no apparent reason. It doesn't hurt to be nice and respectful. I hope the owner reads this review this happened on September 28th at...

We came back during a “slow” time to get a coffee to go from the street window and kept being told “just a moment” and after 30 min my need for coffee took over (and it’s a busy street w tiny sidewalk so you inhale exhaust fumes) so went elsewhere.
Showed up today when they opened at 8:30 and there was a 30 min wait. The food was ok but simple/bland. Having eaten breakfast at many other places in town this food was not worth a long wait (which was also the opinion of my dining companion).
I have high coffee standards and the coffee is definitely high quality however other places in town are equally good (Ki’bok, La Cabrá) if you don’t have an hour to devote to waiting at the coffee window for one to go or want to get a table quickly.
The only way to avoid this is to show up right when they open. Otherwise I recommend not showing up hungry when you put...
Read moreLocation: I really liked this place it has a good balance, like it looks like a garden somehow, and an old village, I'm also a photographer and it is a pretty place to take pictures.
Service: I felt a wall in between the baristas and myself like they were ashamed or didn't pay much attention to me like I asked them for suggestions and they wouldn't know also didn't feel like they tried to connect.
Coffee: I remember I ordered the lavanda v60 something haha, it was really good, balanced not acid at all I enjoyed too much, of all the coffeeshops I went in San Miguel, this was by far the best.
Overall experience: I wanted to have a good dessert maybe eat and have a good coffee since it is a tourist city your time is really short but they don't really have a good food menu, but their coffee is by far the best there I was impressed, they toast their own beans, I really...
