Nudol — Restaurant in San Miguel de Allende

Nudol is a wonderful little spot located alongside several nice restaurants on Salida a Celaya, just a short—and very pleasant—10-minute walk from the iconic Parroquia de San Miguel Archangel (often mistaken for a cathedral because of its grand presence). Parking is easy, which is a big plus in San Miguel. The restaurant itself is small in size, but it’s extremely cozy and has a friendly, informal vibe—it actually feels a bit like your favorite cafe or neighborhood bakery, only with a Japanese touch. The atmosphere is lively; the music was a bit on the loud side during our visit, but that just added to the energy. Staff were attentive, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. We had the Korean wings, yakiniku ramen, and shio ramen for dinner—and everything was absolutely delicious, on par with what you’d find at reputable Japanese spots in big cities. Went with my wife and son and were so glad we went. We had the pleasure of speaking with the owner who shared having been inspired by a ramen shop in our neighborhood in NYC. Nudol, more than holds up to its inspiration. The place feels cool and comfortable and the food reflects the taste care and warmth of its owner. We had a few apps, the wings were a standout. My son loved his Pork Belly Bao. Offering the half order of Ramen is very smart and customer friendly allowing us to eat til full— not overstuffed. Our cocktails were beautiful and tasty. Absolutely worth eating at! San Miguel is obviously an amazing place but finding this restaurant in San Miguel was absolutely amazing. The owner has taken so much care and education to make food that is absolutely handcrafted and shows the incredible intention to detail on so many levels that many restaurants do not possess. He has the perfect amount of items, the atmosphere is amazing, the service is top notch and if you truly know anything about food you would understand the incredible detail and quality that this place has.
