Alberto's Puerta Maya — Restaurant in San Miguel de Cozumel

I just stopped in for a day at the beach with meals and drinks at Albertos Playa Maya. I ate there a week ago and it was OK. I went there today to enjoy a meal and drinks and spend time at the beach. I was very disappointed because the beach was dirty with seaweed on the sand and in the water. I spotted a small stingray hiding under the shadow water and weeds. I had a coupon for free nachos($7) with lunch or dinner and the server said He would not serve the nachos first and lunch an hour later. It had to be done at the same time. I looked around and there was a group of four people and a couple and no one else there. Was it too busy for him? I had to move from three different lounge chairs because they collapsed in the soft sand. After 15 minutes there and not ordering anything. I got up from my chair and left. this is the worst feeling anyone wants to have after coming back to the States from a Cruise to Cozumel. I ate at your restaurant on 04/13/2023 at 14:18:40 and order two snappers for two people and was charged $1660.00 in Pesos which equaled to $92.14 in US ( CREDIT CARD READS A CHARGE OF $92.38 WHICH I AM OKAY WITH) . Today i am looking at my banking statement to verify all charges and SAD TO SAY THAT, NOT ONLY DID ALBERTO'S PUERTA MAYA RESTAURANT CHARGED ME FOR ONE MEAL THAT I ORDERED OF $92.38, THEY WENT AND CHARGED MY CARD FOR ANOTHER TRANSCATION ON THE SAME DATE OF APRIL 13 2023 FOR $92.19 IN US WHICH IS CURRENTLY PENDING WHILE THE FIRST CHARGE IS ALREADY FINALIZED. IF THIS CAN HAPPEN, I WONDER WHAT ELSE CAN HAPPEN TO THE TRAVELERS AS WE GET OF THE SHIP. Highly recommended, Great Food and excellent service. I can’t say enough great things about Alberto’s but more importantly the Bartender who made sure I safely made it back to my cruise ship after being separated from my family and wasn’t able to leave him a tip. I think Ruben was The Bartender/ server we had he was an amazing young man who cared about nothing more than my safety.
