Burritos Gorditos — Restaurant in San Miguel de Cozumel

Wow, just one review before me. I hope people aren't missing this place on their already amazing trip to beautiful Cozumel. This place is a tiny gem hidden away from the main strip but close enough to walk. I went twice the week I was there and tried for a third. The best burrito I have ever and probably will ever have hands down. I have had a lot of burritos but the structure and craftsmanship of this one was unlike anything I've seen. It's not just a sloppy mess inside a wrap like the chain places that have popped up over the last decade trying to replicate this beautiful creation. You can see every layer suspended like an artist crafted it. I loved Cozumel enough to want to return someday and I will be stopping here three more times in a week. The burritos were fine, we would have rated the food 4.5 star. The guy was friendly but failed to inform us there is a 3% surcharge using credit card. We only found out when he put in a higher price on the credit card machine when paying. When asking about the higher price, he finally told us about the 3% surcharge and made a comment about it is not going to make you poor. Honestly we would still have used credit card if he told us there is the surcharge as it seems like a common practice on the island. But his behavior made us...

Seriously great Place. When you walk in first thing after they open and they are cutting tomatoes and avocados, creating their own sauces and cooking everything fresh, you know you are in the right place. We went in and ordered 13 breakfast burritos and they were so fresh and good that we stuffed ourselves. The owners were really great people and humble for having such great food. The quality and service for cant be beat. The value and prices also cannot be beat. A 4 minute walk from the pier and as authentic as you can get....
