Aqui + Ahora Coffee Bar CENTRO (Here and Now Coffee Bar CENTRO) — Restaurant in San Miguel de Cozumel

I'll try to keep it short as much as I can! This restaurant is honestly the best restaurant/bar on the island. We went there without knowing the place and was amazed right away! The owners are Canadian like us from Montreal. The food selection is the best. They have everything. From amazing breakfast (the best price we saw so far), lunch and dinner. They have healthy options and vegan options, and the coffee is so good!! The best part is that they have POUTINE! They make their own bagels Montreal style, and the meat is from Canada. We eat there every single morning, starting with amazing bowls to egg sandwish to even a pad Thai for lunch. They are pet friendly, and you can bring your dog inside. The seats are comfortable, and the decor is absolutely beautiful. They always play nice music. They have plenty of games to play a game while eating! They have a rooftop bar, pool table, and also a room for people to work quietly. They honestly have everything! We got the chance to meet the owner. She took the time to chat with us. She was so friendly and kind. The best part was the staff. Thank you to our lovely Brenda, who greeted us every morning with the biggest smile and the amazing service. Thank you to everyone. By far the best cafe on the island no matter what way you look at it. The coffee is phenomenal from a basic cup to a fancy espresso drink. Also the food all day long is shockingly impressive. I'm from NYC and even I'm happy with their bagels. They also have smoothie and acai bowls, antojitos mexicanos like chilaquiles, huevos al gusto, and way too much to mention. Also daily specials, like pozole the other day for Independence Day. And way past my bedtime, but they are open late. Even the kitchen.

It's also a full service cocktail bar, or you can just split a caguama with a friend, michelada style or not.

I work remotely from here everyday. There is tons of seating inside or outside on the rooftop. There is even an air conditioned co-working area if you have calls or just want some quiet concentration time.

And last but definitely not least, the staff is exceptional. Even though I'm here pretty often th past week or two, I prob shouldn't be on a first name basis with half of the staff. Aqui y Ahora is one of the best places to visit in Cozumel for a variety of reasons. They have amazing food and drinks, the environment is very friendly and welcoming and the staff are great! They have 3 levels, all with their own unique ambiance. The first floor is a great place to enjoy a coffee with a friend, get some work done in the A/C (incredible Wifi I might add) play some foosball, nintendo or a board game, sing karaoke or listen to live music. The second floor has arcade games, a pool table and is a nice place to hangout with some friends. The top level is where you can see the ocean, the sunset and enjoy the Caribbean breeze. There is a hookah lounge off to the side and in the evenings there is often DJ's that play great music. If you are looking for a coffee or a meal with a view in the morning or afternoon you will be sure to be greeted by Israel with a welcoming smile. He speaks Spanish and English and always provides the best service with his kind and friendly demeanour.
