Hi everyone, I thought I would leave a review here, as I took a snorkeling trip with this business last week and it exceeded my expectations; it completely was the highlight of my December trip to the Yucatan. First off, the glass bottom is in only a small part of the boat and was not used much as a feature in the trip. No one really used it or was given opportunity to look through it even though there were two passengers on the boat who likely could have had an enhanced experience looking at starfish, for example. I saw so much and at very clear view. The captain, Bartolo, gave clear safety instructions and offered, together with Edwin and Jesus, a good overview of general brief diving gestures to communicate, with the only difference were those that were designed to be helpful to him for visibility from the boat rather than underwater. I really appreciated that. The equipment was in great shape and very useful. The flotation devices were mandatory and useful. The instructions were very important as we are out of regular season and there were strong winds and waves. The first stop allowed views of Palancar and Columbia reefs. It was absolutely amazing to see so much under water. I was so excited and impressed. I am not very experienced so this swim from one end to the next, was quite tiring. My partner who is an experienced scuba diver mentioned that based on our stories, this was the better trip to take, at least out of regular season. We saw so much! The second stop, rounding the southern tip of the island, offered much less swimming and shallower water. This is where the cushion starfish were at the bottom. So clear. It was amazing and Jesus and Edwin did a great job trying to get everyone's photo opportunity for a perfect souvenir. I had some sticker shock as I am not American and everyone gets charged as if they are, but do not regret purchasing the photos. Consider carefully. It is a memory that lasts forever and they have it professionally orchestrated to make you look good. Quite a bit of work goes into it. My friends back home were very impressed and told me that they think the price was worth it. The third and last stop was a shallow water, knee deep to thigh deep, for lunch. The small ceviche lunch was excellent with great lime and cilantro flavours, tortilla chips, and a cerveza, and unlimited (albeit somewhat weak) margheritas. All the while standing in the shallows, while rays circled the area and swam by peacefully. A very wonderful experience and also lots of chatting with peer tourists having first or experienced experiences and compare stories about what they have seen. A very celebratory atmosphere and the crew gets a chance to clean up after you. Then the trip back was very fast with Bartolo speeding and we got very wet and it was bumpy but we got back exactly on time. The only thing here that I had reservations about is that I was travelling with an older person who was very uncomfortable but I do not think the staff realized he was old and had a hard time as he is in great shape. However, pointing it out to the captain didn't help. Edwin showed his excellent photo souvenirs for those who wanted to purchase. The photo ended up wonderful with some minor photo shop and this trip was an absolute highlight of my one and only trip to this part of Mexico. Many memories to cherish. I actually goofed up and lost the photos due to bad wifi connection and Edwin was kind enough to send me backups. Thank you so much! I really appreciate it. Many family memories. A

Disappointing experience where they really overpromised. We booked through our scooter rental on Cozumel (650 pesos per person, supposedly with Siren Travel but ended up with Shark). Everyone on the boat paid different prices so don’t hesitate to haggle. The staff—guide, captain, and sales team—weren’t welcoming or communicative, and the boat was overcrowded with 20 people instead of the promised 15. The captain focused only on the largest Spanish-speaking group, leaving the rest of us ignored. We felt really excluded. The snorkelling itself was poorly guided, with no effort to showcase cool spots or provide any information, just constant shouting to “stay with the group.” The lunch situation was disappointing—ceviche finger food for 20 people from one container unlike other boats offering individual plates. Even though we asked the captain whether we needed to get on the boat to eat he said no, we’ll eat in the water but they started on the boat and they never called us back, which was disappointing as well. Also, the margaritas were just water and cordial. The staff didn’t even eat the same food as us, they had hamburgers. Note that if you’re an experienced snorkeler or swimmer it can be very frustrating having to stick with a massive group of people kicking in all directions. Overall, poor communication and mismanagement made this trip feel disorganized and impersonal. Wouldn’t recommend.

⚠️ Not even worth one star! ⚠️

We booked this tour from a small stand in PDC. There, we were quoted 680MXN per person + $4 tax per person + 5% credit card fees. This included the tour (in English), an “open bar”, ceviche, and guacamole we were promised as we are vegetarians. We didn’t want to pay the fee in the first place, but alas, we didn’t have cash and had to. We paid a deposit of 360MXN and were told to pay the rest on arrival.

Day of, we caught the ferry to Cozumel and found our tour booth to pay. Magically the “tax” became $6 per person + 10% to pay by credit card. The rude dock lady eventually came to 6% and the tour company we booked with said they’d refund the difference.

We finally make it onto a tiny boat with 22 people after nearly being left behind due to her attitude and poor customer service. The tour was supposed to be in English, but they spoke maybe a combined 5 minutes of English the entire time.

We made it to the first spot and were given poor quality life jackets and snorkeling gear. The first pair of goggles I had kept fogging up, and the other was constantly letting water in. I asked the guide and he didn’t care - just told me to put my goggles under and then back on (which I had told him I had done three times already).

They eventually called us all back to the boat and told everyone to line up on the side and grab the rope. We were the last in line and there was no rope left to hold onto. At this point, we were under the nose of the boat which kept going up and slamming down on us with the waves. We yelled for help and asked people to move down the rope, but no one did anything. We pushed off the boat and just decided to let the current take us to get away from the front. We quickly floated away and it took a while for them to even notice where we were. One guide jumped in the water and swam to us while the boat circled back and we finally got on board.

We then drove to the second spot and were the last off the boat because we had to switch masks due to the foggiest/water leaks. By the time we jumped in, the guide and the group was about 100 meters away and we were left behind. We tried to swim quickly to catch up and dodge other boats. Finally, the captain came up to us and had us hold on to the side of the boat while he headed in that direction.

The rest of the time was uneventful. The corals were dead, and we saw maybe 10 fish, sting rays, and star fish. The “open bar” was actually one beer and one margarita. There was no guacamole as promised.

After grossly overcharging, they kept pushing “tips, tips, tips.” Safety was not a priority at all,...

Would give 0. Do not go on a tour with this company. It is unsafe and a scam. And they nearly killed us.

Our boat SANK, actually sank! In the dark. We had to swim to shore 30 minutes in a storm. and they didn’t give a damn about our safety. They did not make sure we had our life vests. And they only had belts. On top of it all they robbed us and lied about it. Here’s the story, you can watch it on the Cozumel news as well. It was a harrowing experience where we nearly died and I hope nobody ever goes with this company.

We are from Canada. On December 8th we went on a tour with one of Sharks boats. There were 10 tourists, 3 who could not swim, and the two drivers. The port had apparently been closed as of 6pm due to bad weather. but they took us out anyways without letting us know. On the way back about 5 pm we got stuck in a bad storm. The captain kept heading back anyways, through torrential water and putting us all at risk. He could have stopped at the many resorts along the way. At no time did they say anything to us or tell us to wear the life “belts”.

As we got near downtown Cozumel a large 7 or 8 ft wave capsized our boat. It sunk in 3 minutes. And we ended up having to abandon the boat and swim to shore. It took 30 minutes, in dark, stormy water. The captain and crew did not help. They didn’t even see if we were ok at the end.

We had to help get the non swimmers to shore. Thank god for the local hero’s on the pier that heard our cries for help and jumped in the water to pull us out. On top of this all Sharks dove for our bags that night, and when they were returned every passengers credit cards, money and phones were missing. When we told the owner he pretended like he knew nothing about it.

Later when we wrote a report to the police of the missing items. I conveniently got my purse returned. And my brothers phone they said they “found” in the ocean. Yeah right. No other passengers got their financial items.

They didn’t even offer a refund of the trip! They bribed the locals with a waiver and harassed them to sign it. They could have killed multiple people on our boat, and they didn’t care. They didn’t even offer a refund. Or an apology. This is such a horrible, shady company, I hope nobody ever goes with them. avoid them at all costs at literal risk to...
