Amazing area when you visit Cozumel Mexico however, you really have to be careful. Make sure you have a tour guide that tells you where to buy certain things. People will definitely hassle you to spend money. You will not be paying the prices of the locals as the entire island of cozumel's really driven by tourism. That's the only reason why I give it a 4 out of five stars is you will get hassled quite a lot.

They do have some things, especially sculptures and artifacts made out of fish bones. And the craftsmanship is amazing. But before you buy any forms of art make sure you check other places and compare prices because they will try to get you.

Don't just use your cards anywhere. Some places may try to steal your card information. Then you may run into some issues later on. You don't allow anyone to hold your phone to take pictures of you because they may try to steal your phone. You really have to use your street smarts and have to realize that the locals do not make much money and they will do anything to get another dollar to survive. It's hard to blame them because they do have it hard...

Nice plaza with many choices for food & drink. The people were friendly and not pushy at all. It's the perfect place to rest & catch your breath. There's a good variety of shops. A leather works shop, a shop that was gallery worthy, and many other typical tourist shops & bars. Gelato was a nice treat on a hot day. There's lots of shade & plenty of benches. It's within an easy walk of the International Pier. That being said, take some cash for Gelato, drinks, and food - but buy your souvenirs elsewhere. The prices were extremely high, and it was clear most shop owners were not interested in negotiating. I'm not referring to items that were clearly worth it- like works of art or intricate leather goods. I'm referring to cheap trinkets. For instance, a simple threaded "friendship bracelet" that can be purchased in the airport for 99 cents was $4 USD. Some of the vendors with carts were a bit more reasonable. But, buyer beware. The Spice & Tea Shop is within a block of the Plaza. DO visit. It's the one shop in Cozumel that was...

Benito Juarez Park is a hidden gem nestled within the heart of the city. As soon as you step foot into the park, you're greeted by lush greenery and towering trees, providing a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life. The well-maintained pathways are perfect for leisurely strolls or energetic jogs, while the playground offers endless fun for children. One of the highlights of the park is the beautiful pond, where you can relax and watch the ducks glide gracefully across the water. Additionally, the park features ample seating areas and shaded picnic spots, making it an ideal spot for a family outing or a quiet afternoon picnic. Whether you're looking to unwind amidst nature or engage in outdoor activities, Benito Juarez Park offers something for everyone. It's definitely a must-visit destination for locals and...

Square in the middle of town with ample seating, street vendors, large trees, clock tower, fountain/statue and if you're lucky music and dancers. Their is also a "flea market" aka more vendors. You'll find the same items over and over again, even though many will suggest they made items themselves. In the late after, evening their were more vendors and you could easily see they had made the items or where making them as they sat by their stalls. Don't be pushed into buying, say hello, wave no, say no or nada. Be polite these folks are just trying to make a living but you don't need to buy. Best to wander around. Hot during the day. Pretty, lively area. Restraints, bars too. Near passenger ferries.
