Let me make it clear, the food is great and probably one of the best smoothie bowls you can get around in terms of quality and taste. But maybe it's better to take away and have it on the beach, you can pass there via one of multiple hotels around. Poor customer service. Overall the place is fine, but the best would be to grab something to take away and here is why. The staff is not helpful at all, but also they sneaky added the 15% service fee without asking you, even for take away order. I'm perfectly fine with the service fee, but you have to ask me if I'm ok or not and about the amount, otherwise it's not fair. The atmosphere is a bit depressing and not welcoming, no 'hello', 'bye', smile or whatever, there are a few issues with cleanes on the kitchen but also outside. There are lots of flyes because they don't care about trash much also the trash bin is by the tables, so it's quite a poor organisation already (make the staff life easier but poor experience if you want to stay there). Anyway great quality shakes but pricey $8.5, also amazing bowls with tons of fruits and nuts, especially for the value as you would not want to spend any time there and the customer...
Read moreMatcha Mama’s beach location is a charming spot for those craving a refreshing treat by the shore. I opted for a custom açai bowl, and the variety of fruit assortments and toppings available made it easy to create something truly personalized. The addition of almonds added a delightful crunch, and the selection of toppings is impressive, ensuring every bowl is packed with flavor and texture.
Beyond açai bowls, Matcha Mama offers a range of healthy options, including smoothies, juices, ice cream, kombucha, and coconut water, catering to various tastes and preferences. It’s a great spot if you’re looking for something light and nourishing.
The service was decent—nothing particularly remarkable, but it got the job done. There are seating options available right at the location where you can enjoy your food, but since we visited on a particularly hot day, we chose to stay a few steps away in the shade.
Overall, Matcha Mama is a solid choice if you’re in the area and looking for a tasty, refreshing break...
Read moreHad the most disappointing avocado toast of my life here. Came as the saddest plain item, with absolutely zero seasoning, zero sauce, not even with piece of lime avo... just on plain bread served in paper bowl. And Avo wasnt even green, it was brown. Honestly it was tragic. I had hundreds of avo toasts all around the world and never tasted anything more pathetic in what seemed to be a trendy place on the beach. There is also only 4 bar chairs for sitting, no parking not even for scooter, and stuff got very irritated when we asked for the bill saying: Come ooon! Wit angry tone. And didn't provide printed copy, only glance on the screen. We did like the way they served the 1L coconut water. And the Bowl was ok but the Avo toast really killed our vibe. It was little over 500pesos for avo toast, bowl, and 1 drink. There was no music played, so not...
