Pera, Focaccia & Resto-Bar — Restaurant in Budva

We stopped by Pera after a beach day for a quick bite and went with the mortadella sandwich, which comes with sun-dried tomato, arugula, pecorino, and a rich cheese sauce. The cheese sauce was incredible — we suspect it was made with gorgonzola because the flavor was so similar and delicious.

At €10, the sandwich was very reasonably priced given the size, freshness, and quality. While waiting, we watched the employee making the bread fresh right in front of us, which was a great touch.

A few practical notes: they accept cash only, so come prepared. There are restrooms in the back, which were clean, but the shop itself is quite small, so it’s more suited for a quick stop or takeaway.

I’ve been to Montenegro many times, and last summer I noticed that most restaurants in Budva tend to offer very similar menus—mostly pizza and pasta. While that’s fine, we were craving something simple and portable that we could enjoy while walking around. Surprisingly, all we could really find was sliced pizza… until we discovered this gem!

This place is on a whole different level—fresh out of the oven, super affordable, and most importantly, delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the whole vibe was just cooler and more inviting than the typical tourist spots. It’s clear they put love into what they do.
