I am saddened to write this negative review, as some aspects of our evening showed potential and were good. We ordered the Tuna Tartar as a shared starter, a bottle of regional white wine and as a main dish I had the octopus with risotto and my partner the sea bass. First the tartar was good, fresh, and tasty. Unfortunately we were not allowed to finish our starter as the waiter WHILE we were still eating, took our plates away and smashed the main dishes instead on our table. We had to ask for our food back, which not only is degrading but as well does not fit a restaurant of this standard. The main dishes were good, the octopus fresh, the risotto though was very underwhelming. After the main dish we confronted our waiter about his very confusing and rude behaviour earlier. He made a half assed apology and then sarcastically asked, if he now can take our obviously empty plates - Just rude He then proceeded to clearing our table, but only partially, leaving one empty plate on our table until we left. An invoice was not provided. The restaurants restrooms were dirty and disgusting. I have never ever been treated this rudely by a waiter and am frankly shocked. Thats why although the food was mostly good, I have to write a bad review as the evening was also a bad one for us.

An absolutely delightful dining experience — the food was not only delicious but even refined. We had swordfish with sweet potatoes and an incredibly well-prepared tuna, perfectly pink in the middle. As an apprentice in dietetics, I particularly appreciated the homemade seeded bread — a real treat. The fish are caught by the owner himself, which adds a wonderful personal touch to the experience. Service was excellent — our waiter was attentive and delivered everything just right. We also loved their side concept, the “Tuna Bar,” where they serve freshly prepared quick dishes (but definitely not fast food!). It’s a perfect option for a light bite or a snack. To top it off, we were pleasantly surprised with complimentary coffee at the end. This was our second visit, and once again, it was the best food we’ve had in Budva. Excellent value for money — highly recommended! … see you next time!

Walking around Old Town on our first day in Budva, we strolled past Restoran Mlin & the decor caught our eye. Their board stating the 'catch of the day' & the menu looked lovely. We visited to eat on our 2nd evening & had one of our favourite meals ever. The staff are very friendly, professional & lovely. It feels like fine dining with a personal touch. The waiters showed us the catches delivered & prepared that day. We really enjoyed how much the staff are involved in their business & the food being served. We started by sharing the Tuna Tartare & it was the best tuna we've ever tasted. So delicate & creamy. For mains we had the Swordfish steak (a must try) & Sea Bream. The accompanying bread helped to mop everything up & again, a really well made part of the experience. Do not miss this place if you're visiting Budva!!!

Mlin Restaurant, nestled in the charming old town of Budva, offers a unique seafood dining experience that combines historical ambiance with culinary excellence. The restaurant's location within the picturesque, narrow streets of Budva's old town adds a special touch to the dining experience, making it a perfect spot for both locals and tourists.

The interior of Mlin is tastefully decorated, blending rustic and modern elements, which creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The outdoor seating area is particularly delightful, allowing guests to enjoy their meals while soaking in the historical surroundings.

The menu at Mlin features a wide array of fresh seafood and fish, sourced locally and prepared with great care. Highlights include the grilled Adriatic squid and the seafood risotto, both of which are cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The wine list is well-curated, offering a selection of local and international wines that pair beautifully with the seafood dishes.

Service at Mlin is top-notch, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who are eager to make recommendations and ensure that guests have a memorable dining experience. The waitstaff's familiarity with the menu and their warm hospitality significantly enhance the overall experience.

Prices at Mlin are reasonable, considering the quality of the food and the prime location in Budva's old town. The restaurant offers excellent value for those looking to indulge in high-quality seafood in a stunning historic setting.

Overall, Mlin Restaurant in Budva's old town is a must-visit for seafood lovers. Its combination of delicious food, excellent service, and charming atmosphere makes it a standout choice in this beautiful...

We are normally not the complaining type of customers, but this restaurant was terribly disapointing to the four of us. It is pricier than many of its neighbour restaurants, but we did not get the sense of anything extra here and we waited one and an half hour for our food. Our neighbour table, who arrived after us, had eaten and paid the bill, before our food arrived.

The food was nothing special compared to the price. If you like Indian food, do NOT order the "butter chicken". It is not butter chicken as the rest of the world knows it. It was a chicken breast fried in butter with fries. The grilled steak is just a steak and potato wedges. The grilled octopus with red risotto was mediocre. The octopus itself was alright, but the red risotto was way too acidic. I´ve had three red risottos on my trip to Montenegro and this was the worst one. The grilled sea bream came with a bone, which unfortunately got stuck in my wifes throat (she had to pay a vist to the toilet to get it out). There was nothing extra to any dish, no gravy, no vegtables, no garnish. Compared to some of the earlier reviews of this restaurant, our dishes did not look like the earlier posted pictures.

The waiter was apologetic and offered us extra drinks on the house, but we still feel paying the full price of 163 euros for four main dishes, wine and soda, was...

We had read great reviews and assumed this place would be of a reasonable standard. Just looking at the menu we were ushered in and given a table outside.

We had already read the menu so we knew what we wanted. We ordered two glasses of wine, a salad and two main courses. We ordered after 5minutes and sat waiting, after 45 minutes the table beside us who entered the restaurant 10 minutes after us received their food and the waiter then apologised and said there’s been a mix up in the kitchen…… and that it’s busy, there was only 8 people in the whole restaurant? We then received 2 more glasses of wine (free of charge) I asked for the caprese salad at least, which appeared in 30 seconds and was of poor quality. We proceeded to wait another 15 minutes to which there was still no sign of mains, the table beside us had finished their food by then and I could see they were shocked that we still hadn’t received ours.

I truly think this establishment assumed because we were dressed casual that we would wait and chose to serve other tables that were dressed smarter. There really wasn’t any other explanation for it. They were not busy!!

This was a huge waste of our time and by the looks of other tables food and the standard of our caprese salad this place is trying to pretend to be something it...
