I am rating the rooftop restaurant here, not the one from the beach (which seemed ok). So let’s start with the begining: You have to make reservation at the hotel desk in order to get a table. Everything seems stylish and classy… You have to climb some floors to get up there, but this can be all right (just raises the appetite) But once sitted at the table dissaster strikes… The menu is not the same as downstairs, not by far! Here the menu is poorly printed and drinks are not on it (except for the expensive wines list of course), you just have to ask for what you would want to drink and dive into the unknown regarding prices. There are about 6 types of dishes to choose from and most of them are priced at 100g (about 8€/100g of fish) and you won’t know how much they actually cost untill the end. No deserts on the menu, even though downstairs, before entrance you see a full menu of them with pictures too. It is a big scam… So we were 3 adults and a child, and I ordered the beef fillet, which was ok except for the poatato tower side dish, actually almost raw potato slices tower with asparagus on top (to look fancy). Then we also took the boucket of seafruits (octopus, prawns and fish) with black risoto. This was a legendary fail! I mean… a dissaster… 3 tantacles hard to chew, a fat fish fillet, no taste at all, seasoned with a whole carrot (tail too) and some cauliflower and brocolli. No taste at all, thank God we has salt on the table… We asked for some lemon to spice it up a little, was never brought to us… And last but not least… the fish dish with (of course) black risotto because it makes it sound more fancy… the same dissaster here too… My daughter was happy though… she was able to get the kids dish… chicken fingers with fries. My mom wpuld have wanted that too, but “that is only for children to order”. The chicken fingers were great, the fries raw (seems like this is how they cook potatos at this restaurant… they don’t)😅 More to say: the weiters are just tumbling arround changing light bulbs above your table, bringing small tables for the food you order and move them back and forth… Don’t go there… just don’t… The one star I am giving is for the view, but there are plenty of other places you can make pictures...
Read moreMy husband and I went to have dinner at this restaurant around 10:20 PM, hoping to sit in a quiet place by the sea. We ordered simple dishes – one tomato soup and one seafood pasta, along with two beers. The drinks arrived after about 15 minutes, but we had to wait 40 minutes for the food. People around us had already eaten, even those who arrived later than we did.
At first, the waiter brought the soup and a different dish, apologized for the mistake, and then brought the pasta. The pasta was cold and stuck together in one big clump. Such a long wait and such a disappointment!
We asked for a replacement, and five minutes later he brought a hot pasta dish. It turned out to be the worst pasta I’ve had anywhere along the coast. There were barely any seafood pieces, and the price was the highest. On top of that, part of the pasta was stuck together in a hard lump. And this place calls itself a “restaurant”…! Terrible. The waiter kept apologizing but didn’t offer any compensation.
P.S. – Be prepared: €3 is automatically added to the bill. When we asked why, we were told it was “for the tablecloth and cutlery.” Interesting — if someone disagrees, are they supposed to eat with their hands…? Ir woudn’t a problem, if the service was OK, but… All in all, I wouldn’t recommend...
