The staff was nice and helpful and the food was also good. However, i found the prices to be higher than the other restaurants nearby and slightly high in general. We had an octopus salad, a portion of grilled prawns, a portion of seafruit pasta, 1 still water and 0,5 L of the house wine for 83 Eur. In other restaurants we had more or less the same things and never paid more than 60 Eur and NO, the quality was not higher here. (Note: it can be a subjective metter, however in the last 4 weeks we visitet Albania, North Macedonia, Malta, Croatia and Montenegro and ate every meal in restaurants, so I know how to tell the differences).
One thing we did not appreciate was the fact that an amount was added on the receipt to the total price by handwriting. Now, I assume it was a compulsory tip, but I see 2 issues here: It should be included in the receipt normally from the system (as other restaurants do) and you should not force the clients to pay something that is not even going to be declared to the authorities afterwords (or at least gives this impression). I am very strongly against tax evasion here; and The restaurant should at least explain what and why there is an added cost to the receipt. Furthermore, we already had a cost of 1.5 Eur per person added in for...

Tucked in a beautiful little alley in Budva’s old town, Rivijera was buzzing when we arrived but still felt calm and relaxed. We sat outside under the vines, surrounded by charming fisherman-themed decor — stone walls, nets, and boats all around.
The food was fantastic. We had two local mains: makarule sa pašticadom (homemade wholewheat pasta with cheese and slow-cooked beef stew) and a mix of sea bream and sea bass in a rich tomato, onion, and herb sauce. Super fresh, perfectly cooked, and nicely presented. They even brought out a tuna and olive pâté on bread to start (on the house)!
Portions were spot on. With two mains, a dessert, and a litre of local white wine, we spent around €100 in total.
Special shoutout to Nemanja, our waiter - warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. His recommendations made the night!

Read moreWe were a group of 11, including young children, when we visited this restaurant for lunch. It took us quite some time to find it after reading reviews on Google and TripAdvisor. When we arrived, the restaurant was empty, so we took our time settling in. After placing our orders, they brought us bread and fish chutney as a starter. We assumed it was complimentary, but at the end, we were billed €140 just for that. When we queried this, the waiter informed us it was mentioned on the menu. However, we had not ordered this item, and it was served without any prior notification. As we were very hungry and had children with us, the waiter seemed to have taken advantage of the situation. Our bill ended up being much higher than at any other place we dined during our stay in Montenegro. I would not recommend this restaurant if you are concerned about...
