It is rarely happens that I started eating without a photo cause both I was super hungry and the food looked extremely delicious.. and it was as it looked like, super fresh, tasty. I went there for my bd celebration and asked for a table with sea view during my reservation, they reserved the very best table for me (for a 1 person reservation!), and also made a very sweet bd celebration for me which I wasn’t expecting at all. I ordered rocket salad as a starter (very fresh, clean, tasty) and sea bass fillet as main course (the serve the best that you can expect from a sea bass) and chocolate parfait as dessert (even on a hot summer day it was refreshing and yummy). Service is quite fast, respectful, cheerful and everything was perfect. Considering the quality of food, the view, and the service I would say that prices are quite reasonable. If you are in Kotor, escape the touristic old town food and make a reservation here! You’ll get way more quality food!!

We came back to Kotor for a second year and back to Galion. Our last review was actually 5 stars. However after returning again I don't think we would ever return again. This year's menu (which changes each season) doesn’t have a touch on last years. The menu presents the dishes very well however the end result is not quite what you would expect from a restaurant of this level. Our biggest issue was that my husbands sea bass had not just one but seven bones. Certainly not what we would expect from this class of restaurant especially a 30 Eur dish. Of course the usual apologies were made but frankly it’s unacceptable. Staff and service were great and the view is as usual stunning. As I understand there is a new chef which could be the challenge.

Everything started off great, but we couldn’t get the attention of staff to save our life Asked to see the whole fish, they never came back to show us Asked for slices lemon. Had to ask a second person to get 15 mins later I understand tipping is not required but we were going to add 20% and then our guy literally vanished for 10 minutes while our driver was sitting out front. Seems the other “American” table must have tipped well so he spent those 10 mins taking selfies with them with the card processing machine in hand. Food was good Beet starter was 10 pieces on a plate 10x larger than the beets. Kinda awkward Soup was epic! View is worth the $200 Service in these countries is somewhat confused maybe.

Unfortunately I can't report anything too positive about this place - the reviews lured us in, but clearly its golden days are over. The food was just okay - felt a little scammy as they carry themselves as the finer dining side of things in Kotor - and yet we've eaten much better at the more reasonably priced fish places in town. Our main was grilled octopus with various garnishes. The octopus was well cooked. However, my partner's side was bland, whereas the aubergine in my Mediterranean vegetable garnish was undercooked - cold and raw in the inside. (When mentioned to the waiter, he pretty much shrugged). Also, not enough garnish on the plate. So, it was a shame to pay €23 each for a dish that felt both incomplete and poorly executed. The deserts were reasonably priced but again nothing too exciting + coffee was average. We were charged €4.50 for water - this felt purposefully extortionate - more expensive than many of the spirits on the menu, and brought and poured straight from the bottle, though we had asked for table water. This could have been a misunderstanding, but when the waiter brought our bill, we had been overcharged for three coffees not two. As the bill is in Montenegrin, I wouldn't be surprised to find out this is regular practice. Again, all speculative, but since service wasn't the warmest, we haven't been led to feel otherwise. Save yourself your travel funds and eat at one of the many other (confirmed brilliant) places in and...

The restaurant view is beautiful. The plating is well done, but unfortunately for my husband and I - the taste and service was not worth the visit. I got the prawn soup. Was ok, but could've tasted more like saffron and needed a touch of salt. I ordered the salmon for dinner and my husband ordered the tuna. My husband's tuna was ok but was pretty dry. My salmon tasted like nothing at all. Tasted like cardboard. We told the waiter, Dragomir, and he started raising his voice saying what do you want me to do. And wouldn't really let us talk. He was very rude and not once apologized. It was almost as if he didn't believe us. He said he would have the kitchen make it again. The second time it was much better. Better piece, better temperature, but the skin was like eating a mouth of salt. Never apologized or offered to make it up to us in any way. I told him that he shouldn't be agitated, that I was just telling him the problem with my meal, and he said not agitated just surprised. We've never had an issue. It's not our fault. It could be the salmon, it's imported it's not from here.

All in all - an off night. I would not go back or suggest this place to others. It's...

Great service, delicious food, a great view and moderate prices. My boyfriend and I shared two starters (beetroot with goats cheese and octopus tartine). The tartine was exceptionally good; the beetroot lacked a spicy kick, but was nevertheless tasty. We then shared a black risotto with squid, which was good. However, we were missing the taste of squid, which was only very latent. As a main course my boyfriend had the lamb, which scored with the rich and very well spiced sauce (flavor of yellow boletus). I had the prime beef, which was excellent. I ordered the meat medium rare and it was cooked to perfection. A mustardy sauce on top, beetroot puree, grilled vegetables and a potatoe spring roll on the side were the perfect match. Accompanying our food we had a bottle of montenegrin wine, which was good. All in all, we had a lovely evening and I can definitely recommend this restaurant. Not only food was great but also the service was excellent. Prices are moderate but it's definitely worth spending your money here, rather than in the (in my opinion) overpriced old town...
