This is my 2nd visit to Tangier And I saw shawarma alharam. And that's up to myself another shawarma place... But the big shower machine/barbecue got my attention so I decided to walk in. And boy I am glad I did the place is really cozy and really different with the simple yet cool Egyptian feel to it. My friend and I decided to get different dishes print dishes so that we can try everything. We tried the shawarma wrap as well as well as the nefertiti, a wood burning Vernon baked pizza and the spicy chicken sandwich. The food was absolutely and and inequivocally delicious, the staff was very very very nice and welcoming we also had hibiscus 🌺 todrink... The owner himself, a very good looking and kind guy, came to check on us and make sure that everything was great. I wish I could take some of this food back home to Dallas! I guess I will have to come back to Tangier to enjoy this restaurant and its pizza...

The shawarma was also nice and tender. You could taste that it was cooked over charcoal. Overall a good dish.
However, service was slow. It took 5+ minutes for the server to even recognize that we wanted to order. Normally, I can understand but restaurant was empty and the server was just standing around. Interior of the restaurant was also nothing special. Just some random “Egyptian” decor thrown on the wall. The vibe of the restaurant was...
Read moreCaveat Emptor ! If it was in another western country this place should be closed immediately. In general Grilling with charcoal, and grilling in general, is associated with creating carcinogens and increasing your risk of cancer. Why you should not eat the shawarma at this place because They RECYCLE the meat from days bedore and worse they actually warm it in cellophane this plastics releases toxic gases like dioxins, furans, mercury and polychlorinated biphenyls (better known as BCPs) into the foods. You will be EATING POISON. I have nothing against this establishment except they're either ignorant or do not care about the well being of their clients. Attached within the shawarma wrapped in cellophane being warmed on charcoal in...
