We were brought here by our “cultural” (read: shopping) tour guide, without any choice in the matter. The building is beautiful, and the rooftop terrace was nice (but no better than any other we visited in Morocco.) The menu only listed 4 course meals for MAD 320 pp and up (including non-alc drink). The food was plentiful, pretty and tasty. The ‘lemon juice’ was full of mint - the most delicious virgin mojito ever. HOWEVER. This is 100% a tourist trap. Judging from other reviews, the prices have either gone up 50% in the last 6 months or you’re given a menu based on how much $ the tour guide thinks they can take you for. The credit card machine “wasn’t available” so we had to pay in Euros as we didn’t have enough extra MAD for the unexpected MAD 690 bill!! Also, I’m celiac and must not eat any gluten. Although touristy, the waiters didn’t speak enough English to understand my dietary restrictions so I only ate what I already know is safe. If you go here & have dietary concerns, you’ll need something written in Arabic to...
Read moreOrdered Moroccan Skewers. It's a flavorful grilled meat skewers marinated in a blend of traditional spices such as cumin, paprika, garlic, coriander, turmeric, and a touch of cinnamon. The meat—often lamb, beef, or chicken—is infused with lemon juice and olive oil before being skewered and grilled over open flames, creating a smoky, spiced exterior with juicy, tender insides. Served with flatbread, fresh salads, or couscous, they offer a taste of Morocco’s bold and aromatic cuisine.
Also ordered Moroccan Stewed Chicken. It is a hearty, slow-cooked dish bursting with warm spices like ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, and saffron. The chicken is simmered in a rich sauce with onions, garlic, preserved lemons, and olives, creating a deeply savory and slightly tangy flavor. Sweet elements of dried apricots or prunes are added for contrast. It's served with crusty bread, it’s a comforting dish that showcases Morocco’s layered and fragrant...
Read moreWe were taken there by our guide. The experience was awful as we didn’t expect to go to a place like this. It is obvious that in the Medina all the places are touristic but this was just so too much. We were sited at the ground floor of the building, only now I have learned from google that there is a beautiful rooftop. The place was very crowded and loud. The service was good and fast, they spoke a bit of English. The food was good but not great and you would expect it to be the best since the menu prices go from 160 to 200 mad per person (beverages excluded). The lunch was some small entries and a main dish. I’m not even considering the plate of fruits as it was shameful. 2 apples, 2 oranges and grapes. Why would you give people these when you have soooo many pastries all around?! We have spent 460 mad(!) Usually we paid for our dinners more or less...
