Restaurant la famille Zerhouni — Restaurant in Fez

During my recent trip to Fes, I had the pleasure of dining at [Restaurant La Famille Zerhouni, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Located in the heart of the city, the restaurant boasts a charming atmosphere, blending traditional Moroccan decor with modern touches. The warm, inviting setting made for the perfect backdrop to enjoy a meal. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, offering great recommendations from the menu and ensuring that every need was met with a smile. We started with the classic Moroccan salad, which was fresh and vibrant, packed with flavors of cumin, lemon, and olive oil. It was the perfect introduction to the meal.

We came here for dinner after many other local places have been closing down at around 19:00. We were the only ones there and weren't sure how the experience was going to be.

Everything was great! The mains cost around 150dh, but you also get a starter, fruit and tea included in the price. The starter came in 5 small plates of veggies as well as olives and bread. The mains were delicious - I had beef tagine and my girlfriend had grilled chicken. After that you get some bananas, apples and lime(?) - the whole fruits that you can cut yourself.

The service was very warm, the food came fast, and there were no hidden fees or anything. The view and atmosphere on the roof terrace were great too!

More people also started coming closer to 20:00.

All in all, I'd recommend...

PLEASE BEWARE OF THESE THIEVES, they overcharge dishes that don’t even cost that price in Europe, like mentioned in other reviews it’s a tourist trap. Inside the medina I had wonderful food for 1/3 of the price and more delicious, it was right next to the Hamam Mernissi & Spa, these people were kind and had delicious food at normal prices. Unlike these tricksters so beware, and if someone tells you it’s a good place they probably vertin a percentage of what you’re about to pay. Be careful and enjoy your vacation. And to the owner:...
