SAVE this for your trip to Morocco 🇲🇦 If you are in Fes you absolutely must try dinner at @riad_alfassia (call or message them for a reservation). The couple that owns this Riad are very sweet and you can see the love they put in to their home/Riad for their guests. It took them 7 years to renovate the place, each tile and wood carving completed by hand. Their guest rooms are also lovely if you want to stay there and eat amazing food every day! Everything about the meal was the best we had after 3 weeks traversing the country. The “salad” course was filled with variety, each dish as good as the next. The pastilla was out of this world! And the couscous - amazing! ***Moroccan Couscous is recognized by UNESCO and an important dish to try during your travels. Since the dish is quite labor intensive (the way it is made in Morocco) it is a special dish eaten only on Fridays, a holy day in Morocco. Many restaurants only offer it on Friday for this reason.*** We had another meal in Fes that was almost as good but we paid upscale dining western prices for it. The cost of a meal at Riad Al Fassia Palace for the unmatched quality of food in a home cooked meal setting, can’t be beat.
