A Wonderful Hotel Experience

During my recent hotel stay, I had an extremely positive experience that is worth sharing! First and foremost, the hotel staff made me feel incredibly friendly and welcoming, as if we were old friends. This enthusiastic reception made me feel right at home the moment I checked in.

Dining Experience

The quality of breakfast and dinner was also a pleasant surprise, with both the variety and taste deserving a perfect 10 out of 10 score. Each meal was abundant and diverse, allowing me to enjoy delicious food while feeling the hotel's attentiveness to its guests.

Room Comfort

The room comfort is equally praiseworthy, with the air conditioning running smoothly and keeping me cool and refreshed in the hot weather. The room's decor made me feel very relaxed, as if I had returned to my own home.

Thoughtful Service

What touched me the most was when the staff members accompanied us to the street and helped us find a taxi just as we were about to leave. This kind of attentive service made me feel very warm and cared for.

We had an amazing meal at the palais yahyah. Another couple visiting fes recommended it to us and after reading the reviews we had to visit. When walking to the restaurant it is very easy to find because of the red graffiti on the walls surrounding it pointing you in the right direction.

Once we got there Adnan (one of the sons) told us they have a guest house and live in the house next door. He and his family run the place with his mother and uncle as the chef and him and his brother and cousins as the servers. It suddenly got very busy and the boys were running up and down the 5 flights of stairs to make sure the guests were comfortable. The starters included in the menu seemed like too much so we only ordered one menu and I’m glad we did. We had so many starters with loads of vegetables in different sauces and salads. The tagine with chicken was also very good seasoned and so tasty. It really felt like being a guest of their family. For desert they had home made pudding. They at first forgot our tea a couple of times but as it was very busy it was understandable and they apologised profusely. We were in town for 1 night. Our tour would start the next day and we thought we would check out Fez. We did not enjoy Fez at all. The paths were strange and some parts just felt a bit intimidating. We did not want to be out once it got dark so we decided to go to another restaurant and they did not serve food 5pm-7pm as they prep for the dinner menu. Went to another restaurant and same issues. Frustrated we found ourselves asking, what are we doing here. Then we arrive at Palais Fes Yahya, our last shot of getting food before we arrive at our Airbnb. We received a very friendly welcome. Beautiful view, 6 minutes away from our Raid, and they were still serving food 5pm and on. When I tell you this was the highlight of our night, I mean it. Food was great, tea was great, customer service was amazing, and you felt how happy they were that we were there. Highly recommended. They also do a cooking class which we got a glimpse of on the way out.
